The way Democrats tell the story, the Republican Party is headed for a perfect storm on Election Day:
A nation of voters dismayed by the economy and the president's handling of it, a vastly unpopular Republican incumbent whom the Republican nominee is only now trying to throw overboard and an organizational and advertising tour de force of early voting and overwhelming TV ad-time for Democrat Barack Obama that threatens to tip the balance of power in Congress even deeper into Democratic hands.
They way Republicans tell the story, the real storm is the one facing the nation's economy, and Obama lacks a pilot's license to lead the nation through the breakers.
That's the visual of the new Republican National Committee ad airing today, which ends with a storm warning: "Barack Obama. Untested.''
The text of the narrator of the RNC ad:
We choose presidents to lead us through uncertain times.
Rely on their background and experience to guide us.
Some now say this storm cannot get worse.
Our nation is so off course that Barack Obama's quick rise to power and inexperience should not matter.
But what if the storm does get worse?
With someone who's untested at the helm.

I proudly voted for John McCain, not that it will matter much. I cast my absentee ballot in Illinois where I stand a better chance of winning that state than McCain does.
Obama will probably be elected president and if so he will be president until 2017.
Eight years of Obama.
I can't stand it.

Jason, son, lie back & enjoy it.
Just relax, because it is going to take a long time.
It may help you to repeat this mantra:
OOOO BAAAA MAAAAAA,
over & over.
Interesting that your guy doesn't talk about his own merits (or lack thereof) but rather tries another tired attack ad.

Yeah...that'll work. Everyone watching that ad will immediately be spooked by the thought of Sarah Palin at the controls! Another spectacular misjudgment by the Republicans!

As columnist, Mark Sheilds points out so well, in one his resent columns, the disdain the Bush Republicans have shown towards some of our real military heros, from Senator McCain, Senator Kerry. former Senator Max Cleland and former Vice-President Gore, has been an outrage and a disgrace. This disrespect coming from a person, President Bush, who didn't even go to OTS( Officer's Training School) to receive his commission !! How's that for Daddy's clout !!?? Then, President Bush conveniently disappears and is not sent off to Vietnam, but oh, him and Rove can be, oh, so patriotic and cast shadows across good veterans patriotism. You can't get any more despicable than that, or can you !?
Unfortunately, the McCain-Palin Republicans are doing the same character assassination job on a United States Senator, Senator Obama !! They are questioning his patriotism, with snide remarks about somebody who did despicable acts, when Senator Obam was 8 years old !!! Can you believe the ridiculousness of the Bush-McCain Republicans' attacks?? They are beyond acceptability, respectability and democratic ideals !! All of this coming from a person's campaign, who had been a victim of this character-assassination process, at the very hands of the man, who brought it to the above-mentioned war heros, Carl Rove. Can any one in their right mind believe in Senator McCain, after a reversal of that magnitude !!? Now employing the very man that orchestrated the disrespect against real war heros !! With that in mind, can Senator McCain really believe a nation could put their trust in someone who has changed so drastically !!/ I don't see how, in all honesty !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

Every negative move by the McCain/Palin ticket brings to mind the biblical verses Daniel 5:25-27. In particular, the hand writing on Belshazzar's wall of the word "Tekel" which translates to "you have been weighed in the balance and found wanting."

I would suggest to the republicans who have now tried everything from smear to fear, just hold your breath until everyone votes for McBush.

Silly me. I missed the "subliminal message" embedded in this ad:
THE PERFECT STORM.
For the Republicans, that is.
Or did the guy who put this ad together have no sense of irony??

I'd rather fly with a new pilot than one who has crashed 4 planes and been shot down in another. (Thoughts of a 2 tour Vietnam vet)
