In the final days of a campaign which they had long hoped to wage for Hillary Clinton, the former president and the senator from New York will fan out across the country in the coming days to help make Barack Obama's closing argument for the presidency.

Hillary Clinton, who fell short of the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in a protracted primary battle with Obama, will campain for congressional candidates and help turn out the vote across her home state of New York today - in Utica, Rochester and Buffalo.

In the days ahead, she plans appearances in Ohio, Florida, and Virginia on behalf of the Obama-Biden ticket. (The senator is pictured camapigning in Colorado alongside Gov. Bill Ritter in an AP photo by David Zalubowski.)

The former president also plans stops in Pennsylvania and Florida today, attending a joint rally with Obama in Orlando.

On Thursday, Bill Clinton plans to campaign in Youngstown and Toledo, Ohio, and also make a stop in Minnesotar for Democratic Senate candidate Al Franken.

On Saturday, the former president will campaign in West Virginia and New Jersey, finishing the weekend in New Hampshire - where polling portrays a strong advantage for Obama -- for the Senate campaign of Democratic Gov. Jeanne Shaheen.

What can they really say to help after they threw the kitchen sink at the man. They have ZERO credibility at this juncture. After that primary, I wouldn't believe one word of it.

You can see the love in their eyes. The Clintons can't stand this media created puppet. Bill Clinton has done more for the African American community in his time in office than Obama could ever dream to, and Clinton gets branded a racist for daring to question the whelp Obama. What a joke. Americans love to fall in love with a gimmick - Pet Rock, Beanie Babies, Barack Obama. . . .

I just don’t want a gimmick as president. Who knows what Obama really thinks on anything? He speaks out of both sides of his mouth and never pins himself down. A good example is Iraq. He pledges to withdraw troops, but he has (1) hedged by saying he will leave a residual force but wont say what that is; (2) spouts his “careful getting out . . .” rhetoric which he will use to extend troops stays; and (3) can always blame a longer presence in Iraq on Bush. So when you cut through it, he has really promised nothing. Every once in a while he lets something slip, like his “spread the wealth“ line which he knows was a mistake and wont repeat, and his “cling to guns . . .” line. Are these glimpses into what he really believes? I have no idea.

The guy says whatever he thinks people want to hear. He does not act out of principle, but out of political expediency. Take Rev. Wright. A man he calls a mentor and allows his young daughters to listen to on Sundays. Did Obama kick this guy to the curb when he found out he was radical? No. He kicked him to the curb when the media found out. Obama is asking people to take a huge leap of faith in him, and the fawning media has fallen into it completely. I’m fairly sure he will win the election, and I hope he turns out to be a decent guy. I just don’t like to take such a leap of faith on a guy, in the middle of two wars and an economic meltdown, who I know nothing about other than his questionable associations, and who has never even run so much as a lemonade stand.

When McCain picked Palin as his running mate he defined the Republican Party and all that is wrong with America. ......................

"agents of intolerance"-I pick Palin!
"I will suspend my campaign"-and accomplish nothing!
"I do not approve of offshore drilling"-Drill baby drill!
No pork in the bills"-I vote yay on Bailout!
"I will take the high road to the whitehouse"-Gutter politics!
"I believe in deregulation"-Lets' regulate!
"3 million to study bear DNA"-taken down when found McBush voted for that bill!

Good to see them out there.
Good to see a unified party.

How amusing these inane Bush-McCain Republicans have devolved, into a caricature of their former selves !! Senator Obama and Senator Biden have laid out position papers on all of the important, critical issues facing America today, thanks to these inane Republicans !! One would have to be a grammar school student not have a very good idea what Senator Obama and Senator Biden will do, once in Office, that is, if America smiles on their candidacy !! Of course, than there are the ideologues, so blinded by their inept Republican agenda, they can't see any of these positions, which the Democratic ticket has presented !! They can't afford to let their guard down, they may hear something they agree with and they can't admit to that !! They will choose to go down with their sinking ship !! In the meantime, they are ripping America apart and the leading ripper, is Senator McCain. He is losing a race, so instead of being statesman-like, as he claims to be, he will continue to character-assassinate, Senator Obama's good name and good family. That's not being a very good American, as a matter of fact, that is being a very bad American, besmirching the good name of a United States Senator and his family !! What the heck do they care, it's not their name that is being lied about and smeared??
At least, there is a distinct difference between, the Democratic ticket and the Republican ticket !! The Democratic ticket never has had to defend themselves against charges of official misconduct, as the Republican ticket has had to do !! Now, that is an excellent reason, not to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket, the ticket to Nowhere, don't you think !!!??
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

Hear! Hear!

I'm sick of all the nasty comments between sour-grape Clinton supporters and smug Obama supporters. Frankly, it's beneath you. The Clintons have clearly moved on; I sure wish the rest of you would.

Where's Mike Huckabee been? Romney? Guiliani? Thompson?

Obama is such a quality candidate, that had Hilary won, he could have campaigned on her behalf because he stayed on the high road. I don't like ANYONE who wants to wallow in the mire. Its not smart politics. Now look at them. Can't deliver ONE of those votes. Pretty much useless to the campaign. Its talking without thinking. Pretty much like McShame and company are doing. NOT smart. Now who's he going to reach across the party line too? Paint yourself in a box and lose all your credibility. What are they going to do now - say I was lying a few months ago???

How characteristic that Bill&Hill "came to Jesus" only AFTER Obama led in the polls for weeks on end.

Live on CSpan Obama is praising Clinton.

Who's sitting off to his left.

But wisely he does not turn his back to Clinton.

No offence or defence! But, then,- waging two wars and creating such a huge world-wide economic crisis, can we think sanely? Let's give the opposition a chance - Why not?
