President Bush has been something of a stealth bomber in this election campaign, dropping in on Republican National Committee fundraisers to raise money for his party's election campaigns, but not campaigning publicly for their candidates.
Not with his own approval ratings in the polls - his party's presidential nominee, John McCain, has been seeking as much distance from Bush as possible lately.
Today, the president's motorcade carried him from the White House and up the length of the National Mall to the headquarters of the RNC on First Street.
It was a pep call.
"During the visit, he encouraged them to work hard for John McCain and keep turning out the vote until the final ballot is cast next week,'' White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said of the president's visit to party headquarters.
"He also took the opportunity to thank the staff for all of their efforts during this election cycle and for their support of him over the last eight years,'' he said. "He spoke to the staff about the importance of American leadership on the issues of the economy, the War on Terror and freedom. ''

Say Hey!! When Mr. Bush redistributed the wealth to the wealthy, I didn't hear Steve Forbes complaining. Listened to him tonight. He is worried. Hey Steve get your head out of your a## and pay your share of taxes. If you take money out of the system be prepared to put some back in. McCains old lady can dish up some too. And Joe the plumber isn't qualified for the job, not being certified. Just like Sarah and John aren't qualified for the job. whiteagle38

I would rather get a check instead of more of his words.
