Hillary Clinton sat down with her friends at FOX and Friends this morning and conceded, just between friends, of course, that the chances she will run for president again are:
"Probably close to zero."
In a talk with FOX & Friends' Gretchen Carlson, the former first lady and erstwhile frontrunner for the Democratic Party's 2008 presidential nomination spoke about sexism on the campaign trail: "If you are a woman in a high enough, visible enough position, some of that's going to happen."
On the campaign of her fellow senator and Republican nominee for president, John McCain: "I think Senator McCain's campaign has really lost its way... They're just so out of touch with what the American people are worried about."
(That would be the Obama campaign message, which Clinton has been promoting since her own narrow defeat to the senator from Illinois.)
On her own chances of becoming speaker of the Democratic-run House: "Oh, probably zero. I'm not seeking any other position except for being the best senator for New York that I can be."

Huh? Become speaking? Of the House?
Pretty sure a Senator can't become the SpeakER of the House anyway.

Well, the news she won't be running for President will be a relief to all of the misogynists supporting Obama and in the media. Now all they have to do is give lip service to equality and breaking glass ceilings. That's why I'm another Democrat for McCain/Palin.

Bemused-
If you think it's Obama paying lip service to women, especially in light of the disastrous and un-American nomination of Sarah Palin, you deserve to be the loser that you and McCain will be in just 3 weeks.
And thank God for Obama. No longer will this country be held hostage to the divisive, win-at-all-costs politics of both the Clintons and the Republicans. Most of us will be happy to see an end to this sad chapter of our history and a more hopeful, optimistic leadership in Washington.

Ditto Dave. You mean Senate Majority Leader. But that's a pretty big slip-up to make twice in the same piece. Maybe *we* should be writing for the Swamp.

Republicans and democrats have different views and values. You may certainly be for McBush, but you can't claim to be a democrat. You must support the issues of the republicans like the war, prolife, trickle down, the religious jihad......Why would you claim to be a democrat? Never before have the differences been so stark, and when your party needed you, you took your cookies and went home because your feelings got hurt in the primary. Why don't you just say you are now...a proud republican who used to be democrat......untill they hurt my feelings.
