Jon Stewart of the Daily Show did an edgy (he curses but it's bleeped) and hilarious segment last night on the growth industry of Beltway pundits which has soared as cable news producers scramble to fill their 24/7 news cycles. Check it out. I think you'll agree he says what many of us have thought, only funnier.

He is the best! Maybe the Trib shoudl follow up with a pundit story... how many there are, the popular ones, the good ones, the liars, the ones with conflicts of interest, etc. Pictures of a few with there bios underneath; for all the peopel that only rely on cable news.

Being a pundit is the grooviest job ever! You make tons of dough and you never have to be right on anything-think Bill Kristol etal.
