It was only a matter of time before some Republicans got the bright idea that they needed to dress up in "squirrel" costumes to drive home their talking point/allegation that ACORN is trying to steal the presidential and down ballot elections.
Jonathan Martin at Politico.com reports:
Meet Tony Romo and Mickey Mouse.
They are this year's version of those dolphins that stalked John Kerry in 2004, swapping out "flip-flopping" for ACORN.
The nut-hunters swooped into Harry Smith's Manhattan nest this morning, surprising the CBS "Early Show" anchor.
They'll shake their tails out to Strong Island later today for the debate.
As others have pointed out, they don't even look like squirrels. They look like chipmunks, as in Alvin and... If I were these two, I'd get my money back from the costume shop.
Maybe they can get an exchange and get a costume that looks like the one worn by our furry friend below.

And for those of you who'd live to see the reverse of above, that is, a squirrels dressed as humans, I highly recommend the Sugar Bush Squirrel site.

Republicans are really stupid, led by Fox News.
Anyone who thinks that ACORN reporting a few erroneous registrations (yes, ACORN themselves self-reporting abuse) somehow equals massive voter fraud is really too stupid to describe.
But that's what's left of the Republicans and the conservative movement. Sheer and utter stupidity. The coming landslide will be wonderful to see. I plan on visiting all the right wing sites like LGF, Freerepublic, Redstate, Malkin, etc. to gleefully rub it as a small payback for all the years of disgusting Republican behavior.

How about a picture of McCain addressing the ACORN rally in 2006?

Since the Republicans want to talk about ACORN, then let's talk about voter registration fraud by California Republicans in 2006:

Now, let's have somebody tell me the difference between these two situations.
