Do not take this personally. I don't.
In a time of campaign advertising in video games, text-message alerts for big announcments and e-contributions through the roof, it goes to figure that MoveOn.org, the anti-war organization supporting Barack Obama, would find a clever way to get all its forces to find all their friends with a customized campaign appeal.
See MoveOn's apparently viral video, with the option to pass it on in a monogrammed format. Or not.
That's a political decision -- no recommendations here.
Wherever you stand, thoiugh, you have to admire the craft.

LMAO. That is funny and quite scary that you can put the persons name in the video.

Keep up the good work, MoveOn !! Let's get out the vote, no more jokes in our White House. The Bush-McCain Republicans have devastated America, in so many ways and it will be up to Senator Obama and Senator Biden, if elected our President and Vice-President, to make America whole again !! We are one nation, regardless of how badly the Wall Streeters, The Bankers and the Corporations are behaving !! I, might also add, some of our own citizens have been behaving badly, from Rep. Bachmann, of Minnesota, to the bigotry of some at Bush-McCain Republican rallies. Come on, America, we are losing our grip on a good idea: A nation that champions liberty and justice, for all !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

This election is shaping up to be one of the most anxious for Americans. Every news cycle brings more fear and uncertainty. And this is by no means a done deal. ................

DividedWeFail.org also has a personalized video going out. In it, they say they interviewed people around the country about who best can bring change to Washington. All the signs and t-shirts people are wearing have "your" name on them.

I used their "send to a friend" feature last night to send this to a bunch of friends and no one received it. I just tried to send it to myself and haven't received anything. Has anyone run into this problem?

That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen... if it comes down to one vote wouldn't half the country laud the non-voter (ie. the McCain supporters) instead of deride him.
I actually received one of these in my e-mail and I took personal offense to it since I have voted in every single election since I was 18 years old (yes, even off years and primaries).
Furthermore, I'm a firm believer that those who do not take the time to examine the candidates and the issues on their own should really NOT vote, because those votes are going to be based on what the media has told them and other people's opinions instead of their own (basically they are sheep being herded in one direction or another without deciding for themselves). Voting just for voting's sake really does not serve the best interests of our nation.
All informed citizens should vote... those who don't care enough to examine the candidates and issues really should not vote. And yes, this goes for people on both sides of the aisle.

Bruce L.....We must not have recieved the same video. Mine showed reaction by both sides. I guess being "informed" is a state of mind.

Bill R.
If informed is watching a silly campaign ad from MoveOn.org then no, apparently I am not properly "informed" (the same goes for any campaign ad from a right-wing organization with an agenda).
My point is that this ad simply tells people to vote regardless of whether they have the tools (ie. information) necessary to do so.
And as an aside, I often notice your comments on the board and I must say that they are generally spot-on. Kudos.

Bruce L.....Well, Ok I guess I can be spot-off also. I just found it somewhat lighthearted......I think that with all the "garbage" videos and interviews on both sides...this had a little humor. I didn't take it as a tool for uninformed voters to go vote...I took it as a reminder how important voting can be. Somehow at this point...I can't imagine how one would be "undecided". I guess they are waiting for an epiphany.
