Scarcity increases value, which is perhaps why people were hanging on the marriage advice Barack Obama doled out on his press plane last night.
He rarely answers a question from the traveling press these days. But, as he prepares to mark his 16th wedding anniversary this week, he did entertain a query from one newlywed about how to make a relationship work.
Keep your sense of humor, he said. Don't get so mad you forget why you like each other. Don't say things you can't take back.
He was handing out home-made brownies at the time, further warming the rare moment.
Still, it's probably not a coincidence he left out the other critical piece of relationship advice: Keep those lines of communication open.

"He rarely answers questions from the traveling press ..."
So why not the angry editorials about how Obama is being kept from journalists?
Guess the journalists hold Gov. Palin to a different standard than the New Messiah.
And maybe that has something to do with who the journalists support?

How sweet, and he had the time to whip up some brownies after a long day of campaigning and serve them to the press and give marital advice on top of it. Is there nothing that the Messiah can't do in 24 hours? More sugar for the kool-aid anyone?

Bruce: He goes on shows and interviews constantly. He's constantly issuing statements. He's done many more press conferences and general availabilities than McCain in the past couple of months.
Don't even begin to compare that to the Palin situation. It defies reason.
