Barack Obama this morning is reporting a record month of fundraising in September, with a collection of more than $150 million and the addition of some 632,000 donors to his rolls.
The new single-month high is twice his previous record, set in August when the Democratic nominee for president took in $62 million.
Campaign manager David Plouffe announced the new number in an email to supporters this morning. The average donation for the month was less than $100, he said.

Obama will spend the money wisely, unlike McCain. McCain has wasted $85 million of taxpayer money on negative untruthful attack ads, smears, lies, distortions, race bating, deceitful and malicious robocalls, and paying venomousa Washington lobbyists to "manage" his campaign.

Sarah Palin mobilized the base, certainly--the Democratic base. The thought of Palin as president drove me to the "donate" button more than once during September. Outstanding work, Obama campaign and contributors.

Last night, Barack Obama drew a crowd of 100,000 in St. Louis and 75,000 in Kansas City.
John McCain has to rely on lightweight Caribou Barbie to fill a room.
Record campaign $$$ + record crowds + November 4 = President-elect Obama.

I wonder how much of this money came from "ddodad pro", "jgtj jgggjjtgj," "Dirty west", and all the other phony contributors listed by Obama's campaign as contributors. Even the NY Times and the DC Examiner (see http://www.dcexaminer.com/opinion/FEC_Should_Begin_Obama_Audit_Now.html)
have noted the frauds.

Why do all the Repugs out there feel a need to shout? Is it because your fearless leaders are war mongers and McCain feels the need to interject the word “Fight” in every other sentence? There is a movie you need to see this afternoon, it is called Religulous. And please, make some sense in your next post. There has never been anything questionable about his donations….prove it. McCain has been the king of dirty tricks….watch his ads. Obama has not thrown anyone under a bus. Just because he does not agree with someone or their statements, does not mean that he has thrown them under some stupid bus. McCain can not rationalize one statement. Repugs have done more socializing in this last month, than Dems will doe in the next 6 years. So please, take an anxiety pill, do some homework that does not involve Rash Limbo or Faux news, and start speaking some truths.

Anyone that posts a link to an opinion column in a right leaning paper as evidence needs to take a course in science. Plus, I’m going to guess that you are a little too old to know how the internet works with younger demographics; They do not reveal anymore information about themselves than what is needed to complete a transaction. I use fake names and bogus email addys all the time to protect my privacy. If I donated to Obama, I might have been one of those fake names that you and George from above think is proof of terrorist funding. What a joke!

There is a scandal waiting to happen vis-a-vis Obama and money. The Obama-Press honeymoon will end in early '09.
