No news here, but lotsa music. It's hard work, somebody's gotta do it.

It may not be Hair. And it certainly isn't Tommy. But it's the closest thing to a campaign musical that we've ever seen come out of a pool report.

Mark Z. Barabak, a colleague at the Los Angeles Times, drew pool duty today for coverage of Democrat Barack Obama's basically private comings and goings in Indianapolis. There was, as the dutiful pool reporter noted, "no news" to report.

But that didn't stop our man Barabak:

Twelve days until we vote.

No News.

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) went to a private residence to tape TV advertisements.

We rode over on the bus.

It seemed to take a long time to get there.

He pulled into a great big estate, out of our sight.

We were kept outside.

We drank coffee.

And orange juice.

We sat around a lot.

That's all.

For those Hawaii bound, Aloha!

Amazing, these people get paid to go this?

Best wishes to Gramma Payne Dunham and Obama, but it's still McCain for President.
Sincerely and with no venom.
