Sarah Palin has this to say about that half-hour of prime-time TV that Barack Obama's campaign plans to air Wednesday night.

"American viewers will go into it just understanding that it's more of the same and it's scripted, of course,'' Palin says in an interview airing this evening on FOX News Channel's Hannity and Colmes. "That goes to the heart of my concern about his lack of candidness in terms of telling Americans really, what his plans are.''

On the campaign trail, she maintains, Obama has been forced to be more forthcoming about his tax plans, such as "spreading the wealth around... Finally there is some candidness being forced out of Barack Obama for him to get to fess up on what his plans are for tax increases and spreading the wealth.''

Palin, the Republican running mate popular among the Republican faithful but drawing increasing criticism from Democrats and independents who question her credentials for the presidency should she need to step into the officie, allowed that she'd never imagined being in this position.

"Never anticipated it, no. But, at the same time... it kind of feels comfortable,'' Palin said. "Not so much a crowd out there cheering. But again, Americans desiring representation of who they are and what they believe in and what is important to them. And that's what John McCain and I represent.

"And I think that's what you feel when you're in these rallies,'' she said. "An awesome, amazing patriotic people showing up to these rallies."

With her party's ticket down in the polls, Palin maintains they can win.

"Absolutely,'' she said. "John and I have both been in that underdog position over and over again. And you what? I, in my career, happen to take on the good old boy network more than once. Having the scars to prove it.

"Being in the underdog position, it motivates us. Makes us work harder. And I believe that yes, the wisdom of the people will prevail on November 4th."

Are all the McCain/Palin commercials improv?

The irony is when she speaks anywhere, it's scripted. Look above. Hmm, 'got the scars to prove it'.... 'taken on the good old boy network'... anybody who has heard her speak more than once has heard both of these more than once.

If she would just throw in a 'maverick' we'd be all set.

Palin's comments are a more tasteful version of who is Barack Obama? If you want to know who he is read his two books but more important the one book he would like if he only had one. It was "Team of Rivals" by Doris Kerns Goodwin. It is a history of Lincoln and his cabinet. It gives you an idea to what he aspires.

Hey Caribou Barbie...Have you ever spoken off script to the American public? Oh yeah, twice! To Couric and Gibson and then we found out you don't have a brain. Why haven't you come forward and address why you're sleeping with an anti-American seccessionist? Why did you address the Alaska Independence Party while Governor? The rank hypocracy of this woman knows no bounds!

With the mounting bad news for their campaign, McCain/Palin will have no choice but to go increasingly negative in their attacks. Anybody else see this leaked 527 spot?

Money can shape the people. She is right when she say he is not candid. The media allows him to be so.

Will America follow a course steeped in ideology tempered by history or will she follow a course steeped mainly in ideology? “Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time. “ Theodore Roosevelt - Please consider: Americans Might Want To Heed the Admonitions of The Past Regarding Election at -http://zachjonesishome.wordpress.com/2008/10/25/americans-might-want-to-heed-the-admonitions-of-the-past-regarding-election/

That's funny. Palin must be auditioning for a permanent spot on SNL. Of course his commercials are scripted. Duh.

Sarah's brief off-script interviews were a disaster for her campaign and she hasn't been off-script since. She's a joke and even Republicans know it. The "wisdom of the people" will send her back to Alaska.

"Being in the underdog position, it motivates us. Makes us work harder. And I believe that yes, the wisdom of the people will prevail on November 4th."

If the wisdom of the people does prevail, McBush will be giving his concession speech just after the polls close.

She is like a battery operated toy that only has 4 or 5 things it can say...Gets old real quick.Nothing meaningful comes out of this womans mouth..I doubt the people in Alaska will welcome her back now that they have seen the real person and her hatchet man for what they are..Come on Nov. 4th..Then GoodBye..

All we can say is that we have an open letter to Senator Obama. ..................

Palin's latest attack is that Obama is a marksman?

What's that all about?

So Palin is on Hannity and Colmes AGAIN?? Does Colmes get to ask questions of her, or only the fawning Hannity?

When you can't trust your candidate with real reporters, send her to Fox News!!!!

Just goes to prove that anyone or anything can be bought. I am so sorry though that it is for the presidency of our great country. From Acorn to the Greek Columns our KING will protect us and give the wealth (more welfare to keep us down) to the less fortunate.

And don't even get me started on Rev. Wright. At least Oprah was able to see what he was and left and he sat there for 20 years..

WOW. Sarah Palin charging anyone with a "lack of candidness" is laughable and, well, pathetic, especially from the safe set of the Hannity and Colmes.

The Presidency devolved to an Infomercial...

(24-7 on satelite)

I wonder if Billy Mays will be his press secretary...

The country is doomed.

When was the last time that Palin held a news conference with someone who WASN'T on Fox News?

She's like Barbarella with a pull string in the back with the same six things to say over and over again. What was McCain thinking?

When was the last time that O'bama held a news conference with someone who WAS on Fox News?

April 27th, 2008. Any other tough questions Ricky?

Rick, As I recall Obama was on Bill O'Reilly's show. Now what I would love to see is "SameOlSpeech" Sarah on Countdown!

How many times did Obama use the who's on first routine, with his "pie" anecdote... I thought they were replaying his stump speeches and they were all at different locations. Obama is an empty suit fabrication by the DNC, with the aid of a left wing main stream media.

Frank,

You sound like a very smart man... As is the man and his entourage of people who have one thing down pat.. They want CHANGE however when they get a tough question they only thing they are capable of is CHANGing the subject.

And for Val, one time on Fox does not make a president. As far as I am concerned he is afraid to answer tough questions and that is why he would only agree to debate McCain 3 times instead of the 10 that was offered.

At least it will rain Tuesday night on party with the Greek columns in Grant Park.

Grant, now there was a President who was honest and would answer a question, not CHANGE the subject.

Grant? U.S. Grant? He's your role model president? He was a good general but his presidency was know for corruption and scandals. Good role model for Bush and his supporters though.

See,

It just goes to prove one thing again... They want CHANGE however when they ( or some of those here ) get a tough question they only thing they are capable of is CHANGing the subject.

I did not think anyone would fall for the President Grant thing? It's amazing that Obama wants to have his self absorbed party there in the rain.

How do you Obama supporters feel about the Messiah's reversal on his postion regarding FISA...that does not bother you?
