Will the real Sarah Palin please stand up? Tonight.

The Swamp

Sarah Palin is box office.

That we know.

Comedienne Tina Fey's uncannily perfect portrayals of the Republican nominee for vice president and governor of Alaska - you know, the God is just huggin' us closer global warmin' routine - have boosted the audience for Saturday Night Live this year by 50 percent.

So what does NBC's SNL do for an encore?

Book Palin.

Live, from New York, tonight, it's Republican John McCain's running mate.

"Oh man,'' the real Palin told reporters on the trail Friday. "I'm excited... I have no idea what to expect because I haven't seen any scripts or anything else yet, but it will be fun.

"The opportunity to show American television watchers anyway that you get to have a sense of humor through all of this or even just this really would be wearin', tearin' on you so an opportunity to show that sense of humor and that side of all of this I look forward to it. ''

Tune in here Sunday morning for the reviews.

Nothing like a sense of humor while you spread lies and smear.

Look for the largest audience in SNL history tonight. In spite of the media slashes, Palin is far and away the biggest draw on the campaign trail. Do you think 70 million tuned into the debate to see Joe Dull? 24,000 yesterday in Indianapolis, 15,000 capacity in Ohio. She's the excitement of the campaign. Obama, McCain and Biden make boring an overstatement. Can't wait for tonight to see Palin. Maybe she'll imitate Fey.

Daniella,

During the primaries, Barack Obama drew 60,000+ in Portland.

No matter how many people go see Caribou Barbie, they're not new votes for McCain. Speaking of McCain, why can't he draw a crowd?

Voters who are still undecided are clearly turned off by attempts to demonize either candidate. See the YouTube video below:

for one person’s perspective on how you can make a reasoned, thoughtful decision to support Obama AND vote for John McCain.

I'm disappointed they chose to book her. It's now known that she abused her power, doesn't know a thing about foreign policy, is petty, is a religious nut, and is in no way, shape or form qualified to be vice president. Putting her on SNL just gives her a chance to flex her one remaining quality: looking good on camera. You'd better believe there are some undecided meatheads out there who are going to base their vote on how well she does tonight. SNL should be ashamed.

As of yet we haven't heard anything from NBC or SNL confirming her appearance on the show. Everything we've been told so far has come from the McCain/Palin camp. However, should it come to pass, SNL need not write her any lines, just give her a mike and let her loose. She'll be funny enough without even trying.
Example: Look at her own words in the press release.
"The opportunity to show American television watchers anyway that you get to have a sense of humor through all of this or even just this really would be wearin', tearin' on you so an opportunity to show that sense of humor and that side of all of this I look forward to it. ''
Is this woman even able to string a group of words together into an intelligible sentence? If so, I haven't heard one yet. The only time she can do it is when she's reading from the tele-prompter. On her own, it's like listening to a mix-tape of Led-Zeppelin, John Phillip Sousa & Veggie Tales. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not referring to what some see as her 'charming & folksy' way of dropping the 'g' off of 'ing' words. We have a vice-presidential candidate who cannot speak her native language, and most likely has just as much difficulty writing it. It would be funny if it wasn't so terrifying.

Palin is the best leader from the US?

Sad commentary that her running mate couldn't find more than a pretty face. Guess he is following the lead of media folks that are adding pretty faces for broadcasts nationwide.

Exactly WHO are the people controlling the Republican's campaign?

Scary to think backstage power dealers control Palin's interviews by the media. Oops, Palin doesn't do interviews.

Palin will be walking into a script handed to her at 9pm the pre-show rehearsal. She will not be fully happy at the script,(seen it) however, knowing the Sat.Nite Live group, when it goes live" they will crucify her, especially since she will be replaying much of her previous screw ups. Josh Brolin , who plays George W Bush in the movie "W" will "Interview" her. This of course will link her, and McCain closer to Bush than ever before. Remember. New York is a true Obama State.

So refreshing. That's our Sarah. And, so great for America.
You'all tune in and help her rating; or is it to bash her?
Either way, she can take it and dish it out.
She's gittin' the word out; and you know what, her language is just as if not more decent than others.
Hey hey hey.
Stop making fun of people and how they talk. Especially when you libs all say it ain't nice to pick on folk if'n they get handouts from you and vote for you.

How is it that Obama is deigned 'The Messiah, The Chosen One, a Great Christian', yet Sara Palin is a 'religious nut job'? How can 'the intelligent tolerant Democrat/liberal' who besmirches the 'lowly, mean, ignorant Republitard' not see their own blatant hypocrisy?
Why can't we simply understand that we have all had different life experiences that make us believe that one or the other candidate is right for the country? Surely we can't be in such a place as adults today.
We (our nation) are all going to end up like the kids in 'Lord of the Flies', killing out of fear and stupidity.
Go vote for whom you think is the better candidate, just stop insulting and disrespecting your fellow American. No wonder the rest of the world laughs at us; look at how you act.
Shame on all of us.
Use your brains and follow your hearts, I beg you. I have a ten year old daughter and I am damned scared that many of you are raising kids in the world she will grow up in.
Look! There's Ralph & Piggy!! Kill them and get the glasses!!!

Well, I think she can handle the unexpected surprises in a script written by Obama supporters. You make fun of the way she talks but that very talk is what's appealing to a lot of people. It has nothing to do with IQ, it's simply a reflection of the area of this big country that she was raised in. Did you ridicule Willy-Bill for his rather Redneck accent and expressions? No, of course not. It would have been very childish if you had. The Kennedy's have a New England accent that is sometimes hard on the ears but the Liberals NEVER made fun of that trait. Stop trying to outdo yourselves with your vicious pettiness. The women of this country should be cheering her on instead of being so darned catty because , no matter how she talks, she's a 'oner' and has even outshone the likes of Hillary. You also don't know what she's capable of or you haven't given her a chance to prove herself. When push comes to shove, we know a lot more about her than we know about Obama because he doesn't allow anyone into his past. At least Sarah is an open book.

Now that that's written, could anyone tell me what channel SNL is on? I haven't watched it since the original cast was on it. And may I also say - "Go Cuz"!

If I hear one more parrot use the term "smear," I'm going to scream. Perhaps the Obama campaign's most effective tactic has been taking fringe criticisms of Obama, calling them "smears," treating them as though they're the oppositions main arguments against Obama and then refuting (at least partially). The whole "Fight the Smears" site is the dumbest clever thing I've seen in a long time. What a bunch of sugar-frosted crap.

Okay, folks. Forget my request for the channel SNL airs on. I read another SNL article and got the info. It should be a good show and I hope no one criticizes her for being rough around the edges since she's not getting the rehearsal time that the cast is getting. She's been busy in another state today, after all.

They both of the SNL live videos at www.twolesbosgoinatit.com

She was great in the opening. Not exactly what to think of the Weekend Update skit.
