Turning out the vote can be expensive. Turning out a candidate can be just as costly.

It's always worth digging into the spending side of the financial disclosures that candidates and parties file with the Federal Election Commission, as well as the contributions, as Politico.com has done with the reports of the Republican National Committee.

 $49,425.74 spent at Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York combined in early September.

 $75,062.63 spent at Nieman Marcus in Minneapolis in early September.

 $4,714.49 spent on hair and makeup through September, after reporting no such expenses in August.

("The only difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom....'')

The clothing and accessorizing of Sarah Palin, it appears, has cost the party a pretty penny, as Politico has found. Politico also elicited a campaign promise after divulging the running mate's wardrobe and grooming costs: Spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt told Politico: "It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."

One red leather jacket.

Salvation Army, or CARE?

Read on, and take a tour of Palin's campaign wardrobe here.
(And see these Tribune tips on dressing for less)_

Politico said the $150,000 spent on turning out the running mate who is supposed to turn out the party's base raises questions among campaign finance experts "about their legality under the Federal Election Commission's long-standing advisory opinions on using campaign cash to purchase items for personal use.''

But hours after the story was posted on Politico's Web-site and legal issues were raised, the campaign issued a statement.

"With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it's remarkable that we're spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses," Schmitt said, in addition the statement that the clothing will go to a good cause when this one is finished.

All of this does raise another questiion about Palin.

Petty!

Astounding stupidity of the campaign to use RNC funds for this makeover. I'm not sure if they didn't think it would be noticed or, if it was, that it wouldn't matter.

There is no way to reconcile the hockey-mom-fighting-for-the-little-guy image with a $150K wardrobe. People are losing their jobs and homes - this will not play well.

The people running McCain's campaign deserve to lose this thing.

That's more than Joe the Plumber makes in 2 years...

McCain's campaign is publically financed, good to know our tax dollars are being put to good use.

Let be honest, a $150K wardrobe is nothing. Cindy McCain has single outfits that cost twice that much. Sarah Palin is just common folk. I'm sure the average working Mom has well more than a $150K wardrobe. It's down right mavericky of her to wear clothes that cheap!

there are so many questions about palin but we are told mind our own business.

ethics
billing the state for travel expenses of her children
when to protect whales
will she take a tax deduction for donating clothes purchased by gop?

too many to list here

This is just additional proof of the sexist reasons underlying Palin's selection as a running mate. They chose her not because she is qualified but because they thought she would play well before the cameras. They were wrong. They think if they doll her up that people will be persuaded, essentially seeing her as an object...and that, my friends, is the heart of sexism. They're not spending money like this on McCain's suits, are they? Sexism. Because, you see, that is fundamentally what underlies the Republican view of men and women.

The issues of the day didn't stop the Republicans from diss'n Clinton or Edwards over their expensive haircuts.

And oh yeah...it also betrays a lot about how out of touch the Repubs are with the poor...I'm trying to picture the homeless women I worked with strutting down the street in that little red leather number. If they wore it, they'd be questioned by the police. I'm sure the Repubs think that it can be auctioned off and the money given to charity...surely, surely that is what they're thinking, please God. The Republicans, at their basic level, look down on the poor, and have a very patronizing attitude toward them. More evidence.

Spokeperson, Tracey Schmitt as well as the campaign/RNC has missed the point completely. It's not about a 'charitable purpose' after the fact. She is 'not one of us'. Campaign funds should not be used for a candidate and if she needed a new wardrobe she should have gotten a loan from John McCain. This will not fly with the American people and what many of us are facing today. As governor, one would think her wardrobe would have been suitable for campaigning. Total hypocrisy.

This is how they plan to defend and work for the middle class? Sorry, this is yet ANOTHER example of how out of touch McCaina and Palin are with real, hard working Americans. We are all loosing our pensions, our 401k's have taken a beating, people are loosing homes and McCain spends $150k in two months on clothes and make-up for his running mate! Give me a break!

What charity will they be donated to? I would like to be the recipient of these clothes- as they will be helpful for me in my job search.

Maybe my tax dollars from my job (which I lost this month) paid for them to begin with!

WHAT A CROCK!

What about the other candidates?

And I read a story yesterday about the money she billed in Alaska for flying her children to be with her at events; but they didn't say any of the figures from previous governors, OR how much the executive plane sold for. The bias in the reporting on these candidates is so obvious it makes me wonder what is true and what isn't.

This guy mark Silva has a past of not being truthful, so let see the proof, Mark. This guy likes to exaggurate for the cause.
Check out Marks history, befor you believe him, it is a little cloudy, you know a modern journalist, say and do what you want some one else to read or hear, no consequences

The hockey moms I know wear jeans from Walmart to go to league game. The hockey league she belongs to must be for the rich. I guess Palin went into politics to improve her wardrobe, not to help her constituents.

As you sow so shall you reap. It serves the RNC right that this has been brought to light after all the time they spent raising a fuss over John Edwards' and Bill Clinton's haircuts. Scarah looks really cute in her high dollar outfits - I wonder how many of her small town, "real Americans" shop at Neiman's and Saks. Payback is a beach.

Did you guys bother checking to see what Obama and Michelle's wardrobe cost? Of course not. Obama has spend 600 million dollars on his campaign and you people are complaining that the rnc spent $150,000. You know how many people 600 million dollars would help Erin?

"Poor" Sarah Palin, hockey mom, Walmart Shopper, Joe Six-Pack/Plumber. How sad her to watch her drop so rapidly in the eyes of us "real American".

I doubt that any wife of real "Joes" in this country have one, let alone 140, $1000 dresses in their closets.

This minor distraction will be big news over the next two weeks. Republicans, enjoy your last grasp at power.

And, donating these expensive clothes to charity. What charity? A tag sale for rich Republican supporters.

Looks like the repubs have locked up the Barbie vote, along with the GI Joe vote.

Of course, the hypocrite vote was locked up long ago!

Can we please stop worrying about what candidates are wearing and how much they spend on their hair? As much as I don't like Palin, I'm no more interested in her wardrobe than I was in Hillary's pantsuits or Edwards' haircuts. Issues, please?

Wonder how much Comrade Obama's 'campaign fund has spent on his 'former hated America wife"??

It was reported today that after the election the wardrobe will be donated to charity. These are not one-of-a-kind designer clothes, they're off the rack! I guess Obama didn't go to the gym this morning if this is all you guys have to report on.

This story opens up the question of who is paying for Obama's and Michelle's clothes and Michelle's makeover? Do you think they are paying even though Michelle has complained about their struggle with paying off college loans, etc,? I'm looking forward to the media letting us know so we can determine whether or not this story about Palin's clothes is newsworthy.

Palin is just like me!!!!!: I'm not sure how you compare Cindy McCain, who it's noted is worth some $100 mil, and who no one has suggested doesn't buy her own glam duds with her own dough, to Sarah Palin's campaing-trail garb, which documents are showing was paid for, at least in part, with funds from the RNC kitty, which includes taxpayer's dollars. And there would be nothing "average" about any working Mom (or Dad or family, combined) who could spend $150,000 in under two months for clothing and accessories. Be reasonable.

It is correct to say, as McCain's campaign has said, that we have more important things to discuss. But it is worth pointing out the irony that McCain and Palin have been talking about almost nothing BUT petty stuff about Obama. What's good for the goose is good for the gander?

Another witch hunt by the left wing liberal domocratic party news media. If this is all you have....your in big trouble with the Independent voters. The more the news media goes after Palin, the more votes she picks up.. Keep up the good work!!!

CBSNEWS w/ Couric shed a half a million viewers, falling from 6.4 million to 5.9 million; ABCNEWS dropped from 8.1
million to 7.6 million; NBCNEWS slumped from 8.2 million to 7.8 million

I'll see you in the un-employment line with the rest of the Left Wing Media!!!

Cue Richard Nixon's "Checkers" speach... "I should say this, that Pat doesn't have a mink coat, but she does have a respectable Republican cloth coat; and I always tell her that she'd look good in anything."

http://flag.blackened.net/daver/misc/checkers.html

If Hillary were running now, I'm sure we wouldn't be hearing about HER wardrobe costs. And I'm sure they would be higher than Sarah's!

Wow! With all the issues our great country is facing and this is news worthy? How dare anyone suggest Sarah Palin return the wardrobe purchased by the RNC for she and her family! My opinion would be the same if it were Sarah or Mrs. Joe Biden.

I wonder if this tab included outfits for her husband and the kids. I bet the RNC bought her future son in law that shiny new suit he wore at the convention.

It was reported today that after the election the wardrobe will be donated to charity. These are not one-of-a-kind designer clothes, they're off the rack! I guess Obama didn't go to the gym this morning if this is all you guys have to report on.

So are they saying they know they are going to lose, so Palin will have no need of this ultra expensive wardrobe after the election, or does it mean that they are planning on buying her an even more expensive wardrobe if she becomes VP?

As an Obama supporter, I think this is really a non-issue, and I hope that the Obama campaign doesn't even comment on it. It should have been obvious to anyone with a brain that Palin was picked for a post-convention boost and is now understood to be an odd footnote in history. I think this says much more about McCain and his campaign managers than it does about Sarah Palin. Remember how they were so offended when they cried about Palin being mistreated by the media and others when she was under such close scrutiny? It's now obvious that they viewed her the same way-she never would have been chosen if she was a man with the same exact background and experience. But as a Barbie doll, they felt that they would get some bang for their $150,000 bucks. This is the kind of judgement you want in a President? I don't.

Everyone is ripping apart Palin here and saying how out of touch with reality McCain/Palin is. whoa whoa whoa...How much do you think Michelle Obama spends on her clothing?! Please, get real. She spends just as much. It would be interesting to see how much the past ladies have spent, Hillary Clinton, The Bushes, etc for comparison.

Sarah Palin is your typical Republican evangelical politician. Exploit God, country, and whatever else she can get her hands on for her own personal gain. Maybe she should start drilling into her bank account and pay back state and federal taxpayers for her and the RNC's abuse of taxpayer monies. Didn't John McCains champaign staff say they screened her thoroughly before he picked her as VP, or were they just trying to lock in the evangelical vote? Maybe we should spank all Republicans this November just to send a message that were all sick and tired of these petty political games that they play that are solely intended to fool the ignorant!

I'd rather know what Joe Biden was warning us about that is going to befall this country within 6 months of an Obama Presidency. Does he know something that he should be sharing with the rest of us? Joe throws a threat like that out and we're suppose to worry about a candidates wardrobe?

Yes, I am sure Ma and Pa in now-wheres-ville Kentucky are going to look right at home at the A&P wearing a $75,000 dress when they pay for their items with food stamps. McCain and Palin - dont pee on me leg and tell its raining! I and most other Americans are smarter than this!

You know what...

I don't like Sarah Palin and I don't like her politics. BUT... I don't have a problem with her expensive wardrobe. When you are out there in the public eye - you have to dress the part. I hope the wardrobe is financed with donor money and not public tax money (John McCain has accepted public financing).

This whole article is catty and sexist. Remember when the Republicans got in a snit over the amount of money Hillary spent for a haircut a few years back? That pricey haircut was all Rush talked about for weeks. Male candidates spend a lot of $$ on their wardrobes too, but no one writes about that.

Why are Mccain/Palin supporters trying to make lite of Palin and the RNC using taxpayer monies for personal use. Yes I said taxpayer monies not personal finances. Hello in there anybody home? You should be outraged instead of partisan. You should demand she pay the money back instead of making excuses for her. If your not upset over this and you still support McCain/Palin then you must be part of the ignorant that Republicans need to dupe to win the election.

Have you ever watched "What Not to Wear"? They barely get a weeks worth of quality clothes for $5,000. This woman is running for the second highest office in the land and she is expected to look somewhat fashionable. Obama spends over $6,000 for his suits but...*crickets* from the press.

Regarding all the sarcastic comments about donating the clothes to Goodwill or Salvation Army, etc.: That wouldn't make any sense and you know it (or, perhaps, aren't smart enough to figure it out.)

The clothes get donated to a charity auction (sponsored and funded by "the wealthy"). The proceeds (which most likely exceed the cost of the clothing itself) get donated in cash to deserving charities.

You're right. Obama spends money on clothes too, as does his wife. The difference is, they aren't spending taxpayer money on it - Obama did not accept public funding for his campaign. Therefore, it's not really any of our business what the Obamas and Bidens are spending, but it actually IS our business - and our money - that the McCains and Palins are spending.

Our household income is well in the six-digit range -- yet, I make a point of shopping at TJ Maxx, Filene's Basement and Marshall's for our family. I would NEVER spend $1,000 on a dress. What a waste of money! A smart person (man OR woman) can dress elegantly and fashionably for not a lot of money -- it just takes a little effort, as well as sense. Thumbs down to Ms. Palin for supporting Needless Markup and other rip-off corporations.

Politico did a search - the DNC did not spend ANY money on clothes for Obama, Biden or their wives. It doesn't matter how much they paid for their clothes - THEY paid for them.

The whole story is that she says she is a hockey mom, a working woman, and she spends $40,000 on ONE trip to the store. And why Neiman-Marcus and Saks??? Couldn't she have gone to Macy's??

Oh, and Carl? Some of that money did go to Todd for his clothes.

amen to that lucy

"The proceeds (which most likely exceed the cost of the clothing itself) get donated in cash to deserving charities."

But they used TAXPAYER money...what if I don't want to donate my money to the charities they choose?

"It's all about that 3 letter word - jobs. J.O.B.S"

Quote from Dem VP candidate Joe Biden.

Now how come we have not heard much on that one?

Lucy, Obama and wife aren't spending taxpayers money because he broke the pledge of taking federal financing (after he had signed the pledge) instead they're spending your voluntary donations on their wardrobes I guess. Just a note the DNC and the Obama fund are totally separate, the DNC funds are drawn or given to all Dems, but the Obama millions are in a separate campaign fund that is his and his alone unless he chooses to donate any of it to other candidates or the DNC. When you donate to Obama Presidential Campaign it's for his use only.

yet Rezko and Obama have been buried by the media!

Preview for this week's SNL:

Tina Fey leaving a rally, not taking questions from reporters in order to get to the mall before it closes.

Wait, a mall? Sorry, that's where "real" American's shop. Maybe the skit will be more like Pretty Woman where people are waiting on her hand and foot showing her diamond encrusted pumps and Vera Wang halter tops.

Under the Internal Revenue Code, the vaule of all this is taxable income to her.

No doubt she'll report it, along with all the personal expenses she charged to the State of Alaska.

150K to dress-up Caribou Barbie-- expensing her children as business expenses, what else has this woman scammed the people over? With over 4K in makeup/hair? Makes John Edwards haircut look like a cheap one.

Oh come on. $150,000 is nothing compared to a campagn costing $84,000,000. A wardrobe is needed to campaign. You democrats compain about such a small amount when Mccain limited his campaign spending to $84 million and Obama got $150 million in just one month, Petty is an understatement.

Bob Gibson's old song about that Standard Double-Standard needs an update. If a woman candidate isn't dressed well, and coiffed well she's going to be nailed for looking like a frumpy housewife. You can't expect someone who hasn't been in national politics long enough to acquire the kind of contacts that make the US Senate a real Millionaire's Club to have an extensive wardrobe. And it probably doesn't require Paris Hilton's wardrobe to be governor of Alaska. Someone has to pay for what it takes to make the candidate look like what a candidate is supposed to look like. Maybe the guys can get buy wearing identical suits day after day but if a woman wears the same thing 2 days in a row people start wondering where she spent the night. That standard double-standard will get you every time.

P.S. You need to put the "enter the letter" field onto the preview page too.

Think of it this way, it's taxpayers money and they just "spreading the wealth around", isn't that what Obama wanted to do? Some little old shopgirl made a pretty good commission off that 150K, that's good isn't it?

A $150,000.00 wardrobe makeover at the donors expense? How very Mavericky of her. Palin should have said "Thanks, but no thanks!" to that one. I'll betcha you can see Saks 5th Avenue from Alaska, dog gone it.

What's the difference between the average pitbull hockey mom with lipstick & Sarah Palin? About $150,000 in wardrobe.

It seems some people are missing the point here. The issue really isn't how much was spent on her wardrobe. Cindy McCain's wardrobe costs 100 times that amount. And I am sure Michelle Obama also has a nice wardrobe. There is no indication that either of these two women's (or any of the men's) wardrobes were bought with campaign funds. If the RNC used money that was donated for the purpose of the election, then that could be a significant violation of FEC rules. The two main issues here are 1) The fact that $150k has been spent on clothes and make up for her in 2 months is a complete disconnect from the message that the McCain campaign is trying to run on. That they are in touch with the little guy and they "know" small town America. 2) Is it appropriate for the RNC to be using donated money to purchase the clothes? Add these to the questions that have come up about Palin billing the state for a number of other questionable things and it just adds to list of questions about her integrity.

Question. Someone explain to me how this is taxpayers money?

I thought people contribute to the parties campaign. If I want to contribute money to the democrats, I can. If I want to conribute to the republicans, I can. So this should be from the campaign contributions then correct? Where did all this taxpayers stuff come from?

By adding up the number in the article, the total comes to:
$129,202.86
Not that it's a small amount. But where's your $150,000 number coming from? If you are gonna attack someone with their spending, you better get your number straight.

Since Cindy McCain has so much money, why didn't she just buy the clothes for Palin, or loan Palin the money to pay for them? After all, I'm sure it would just be a drop in the bucket for her.

"The only difference between a pit bull,a joe six pack, joe the plumber, and Sarah Baracuda...is A $150,000.00 makeover at taxpayer expense, welfare. Go getum RNC,Ha! HA!

Dave- Obama raised 600 million dollars, it is not coming out of tax payers dollars. that's the difference.

Kelley-why shouldn't she use her own money for a new wardrobe? Mccain couldn't raise as much as Obama which is why he has a "limit".

One of the problems Palin's spending spree is that it is specifically illegal to use political donations for clothing and I don't see any exemption for, "We always intended to give the clothes to charity after the campaign":

See 2 USC 439b(2)(B)

(b) Prohibited use
(1) In general
A contribution or donation described in subsection (a) of this section shall not be converted by any person to personal use.
(2) Conversion
For the purposes of paragraph (1), a contribution or donation shall be considered to be converted to personal use if the contribution or amount is used to fulfill any commitment, obligation, or expense of a person that would exist irrespective of the candidate's election campaign or individual's duties as a holder of Federal office, including--
(A) a home mortgage, rent, or utility payment;
(B) a clothing purchase;
(C) a noncampaign-related automobile expense;
(D) a country club membership;
(E) a vacation or other noncampaign-related trip;
(F) a household food item;
(G) a tuition payment;
(H) admission to a sporting event, concert, theater, or other form of entertainment not associated with an election campaign; and
(I) dues, fees, and other payments to a health club or recreational facility.

What does Tracey Schmitt mean when she says "It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign." ? I think it's even more unbelievable that she would spend that much money on new clothes, only to discard them after a couple months. She has some lovely things. It seems wasteful to me to dump everything after the campaign. Don't people realize that $150,000 is a lot of money for clothes? Even if some of the pieces cost thousands of dollars, that is still a TON of clothes. More clothes than anyone needs for just a few months. Actually, they might be able to return some of it to the stores. I bet she won't wear everything she bought. I bet she just went shopping nuts in NYC because she's never seen anything like it in her home town, (the real America, where most people can't afford to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a bunch of clothes made in Italy).

$49,425.74 spent at Saks Fifth Avenue!! What in the world did she buy. 50k on a wardrobe is a lot of money at one time. Did she buy out the whole freaking store? Then 75k the same month. Come on people, that is a bit much. 125k in one month on a wardrobe, stuff at those to stores does not cost that much. Caribou barbie finally got a huge expense account and went shopping.

So now we know that it takes at least $150k to pretty-up and put lipstick on a pitbull.

The next time the either party asks you for a donation, just give them an ad for the Macy's Fall Clearance sale.

Of course the GOP will tell us we shouldn't be focusing on this stuff instead of the real issues - and they're right. It's just funny how they had such a laser focus on the cost of John Edwards haircuts a few years ago. And why give the clothes to charity? Auction them off for real money and give THAT money to charity instead.

Let's see the clothing bills for everyone. This is just another article/prejudice to sway us away from the real problems. Maybe Obama should "spread some of his campaign wealth" to help those of us who need it.

There are so many real issues regarding Ms. Palin's qualifications and positions. Why is this a big deal? Come on already - let's focus on real issues.

I couldn't help but notice how beautiful her suit was when she debated Joe Biden. Does any reporter out there know who the designer of that frock was and how much did it cost?

I am glad to see all you Obama supporters so concerned about wasted tax dollars and fiscal discipline. Your hypocrisy is astounding when you elect people like Blago, Daley, and Stroger Junior year in and year out.

$150,000 on a wardrobe, that is nothing. Your Governor Blago burned that up in a week of lear jet flights between Chicago and Springfield.

There are so many real issues regarding Ms. Palin's qualifications and positions. Why is this a big deal? Come on already - let's focus on real issues.

A non-issue.

Palin's wardrobe will be AUCTIONED OFF by charities after the election, very likely for a large fraction of what was paid for them.

Quaere: did Edwards auction off his $400 haircut when he was through with it?

Looks like McCain is gainning momentom that could be a reason why we are seeing all these non issues are tosted around.
Just my suggession

Oh, boy! Quite honestly, I vote for brains, but it appears that the American masses vote for wardrobe. I'm wondering if it were Loreal or Chanel are the driving force on where voters are. I think this is disgusting!

Hey Dave,
Did you check your facts? Of course not. Michelle and Obama have purchased their OWN clothes, and they didn't cost $150,000 thank you very much. Michelle paid, herself, $148 for a dress she wore on the VIEW, and wore a $1,200 dress SHE paid for to wear at Obama's nomination event. Obama has recently purchased, out of his own pocket, a couple $1,200 suits. We're probably not talking more than 10K for almost two years on the campaign trail, for both of them. Palin's 150K wardrobe (for 1 month!) came from RNC political funds. FYI-- Obama has 600M to spend on his campaign fighting the GOP/Rove smear machine because white middle class people like ME are sending him $50 dollar checks in droves.

--Did you guys bother checking to see what Obama and Michelle's wardrobe cost? Of course not. Obama has spend 600 million dollars on his campaign and you people are complaining that the rnc spent $150,000. You know how many people 600 million dollars would help Erin?

(Uptown Girl, Billy Joel)
WilliamBanzai7

Up North girl
Shes thinks she's livin in Joe Six Pack's world
But she spends it like a jet set girl
Until last month no one ever bought her Neiman Marcus pearls

Now their voting for an Up North girl
Shes been living in a trailer trash world
As long as anyone with hot blood can
And now shes running with a Neocon man
And she's wearin nothin but Louis Vuitton

And she knows just what
She wants from Saks and Bloomingdales
And when she wakes up
Shes already made up her mind

Shell see its not so tough
Just because she can't get enough
The RNC'c in love with an up North girl
You know they love her in her $150,000 uptown clothes
She'll never tire of her high class toys
And all her presents from all the GOP boys

Up North girl
You know we cant afford to buy her threads
But maybe someday when her ship goes out
Shell understand what kind of hypocrite she's been
And then we'll win

And when shes walking
Shes looking so politically refined
But when shes talking
Shes just one big political land mine

Up North girl
Shes an up North girl
You know those RNC slugs
they're in love
With an up North girl

How much has Hilary spent on clothing for campaigns? Seems there is a double standard as to what the media picks up on when it comes to Democrat/Republican.

Funny how the coverage was much different when Nancy Pelosi took the House gavel in her Armani suit. If Sarah Palin wasn't wearing designer clothes then we'd be hearing the libs whine about how she looked like she shopped at WalMart. Whine all you want, but she's here to stay.

Give me a break. "Giving them to charity" is an after-the-fact attempt to redeem themselves after a stupid, stupid mistake! It's not the clothing, it's that taxpayers paid for an extravagant wardrobe following tons of "elitism" attacks on the other candidates. It's hypocritical and absurd. Joe the Plumber's house cost less than $30,000! The cost of this wardrobe was 3 times more than my yearly salary. What the heck? I couldn't wear this stuff to work.....who (that needs clothing) would wear it? I'm so angry that I could pop.....and I'm a white, middle-aged, [real] hockey mom from the heartland of America.

If Obama didn't already have my vote (he got it because of his superior performance in all the debates and McCain's petty, angry attitude and the poor judgement McCain exhibited by choosing Palin in the first place, this act of idiocy would change my mind. Obama for President!!!!

They are SO out of touch with the 'commoners' !!! My home cost $140,000 and I will make the last mortgage payment in 28 years...

So, all this news about the RNC spending $150,000 on Palin's wardrobe. But, nothing on Obama spending over $5,000,000 on his Greek Temple for ONE NIGHT?!

Where's the news on that?

Oh my god so she bought some clothes, I just want to know exactly how much does Obama spend on his clothes, the only reason anyone is even focusing on her clotheing spendings, is because she is a woman. Why not investigate and see how much Obama and his wife spends on clothes

Dave: in other articles, it states that when Politico looked into obama's financial spendings in the campaign; it found that barack obama's spent nowhere as extravagantly as Palin did. and isn't 600 million dollars a little overrated. geez get real, i mean if obama really did spend 600 million dollars on the campaign, then at least he didn't spend that much money on clothes and accessories...

seriously.

how pathetic is it to criticize someone over something you have absolutely no idea about...

Seems like more of the lefties
double standards for others.
Remember the uproar from the
moonbats on the cost of Bush's
innaugaration, Barry Hussein's
easily doubled that & nothing said. No complaints on the cost
or the number of outfits worn by
Michelle that day, either. Why
not ? Because socialist's only concern themselves with what others are spending. It's their greed to control others money,
but don't question them.

a liberal will always swallow a camel and strain at a nate. its allright for clintons gang to destory property in whit house when they left, but now the liberals sqell like a pig.
