Here are a few Washington events of note for Monday, October 27.
President Bush is meeting with President Fernando Lugo of Paraguay.
Pakistani Ambassador Husain Haqqani is speaking to the World Affairs Council of Washington about recent events in his country, including the impact of the recent election of President Asif Zadari, U.S.-Pakistan relations and efforts to confront the Taliban.
George Washington University's School of Business is hosting a panel on "Demystifying the Global Financial Crisis: Implications for the World Economy."
