Chicago Tribune movie critic Michael Phillips likes "W", Oliver Stone's new film which opens today about President Bush's rise and fall (in popularity polls at the very least.) He gives it three stars and puts it ahead of many other Stoners 's like "JFK" and "Nixon."
Phillips especially likes Josh Brolin who in his view gets the Goldilocks award for his portrayal of Bush which is just right, according to Phillips.
For those of you who see it this weekend, we'll be interested in getting your reaction.

It is not as good as the edited version of Bush's State of the Union. .....................

I will wait for it to come on video. You cant trust the critics like Ebert. I wonder if it really is a good movie or is it just certain peoples hatred of Bush that makes them like it. Only one way to find out. As someone who did not vote for Bush but doesnt fell outright hatred towards him the movie sounds intresting. I hope it doesnt show very predictable portrayals of fat cats rubbing their fingers together and laughing at how they destroyed the country. I hope it is insighful and shows how people like Colin Powell and Rice just did whatever they were told regardless of how they felt.

Reuters is reporting that Sarah Palin will be on SNL too (I knew this was all a comedy). Step aside, Tina Fey.

Josh Brolin did a convincing Dubya, though he reminded me a lot of his cowboy character from No Country for Old Men...
