Bush and Obama in Oval Office small.jpg
(White House photo by Eric Draper.)

by Frank James

President Bush and President-elect Obama sat in front of the fireplace in the world's most famous office. Often when we see a photo of the president sitting in the arm chair, it's with a visiting foreign head-of-state and the photographers take the photo with the fireplace in the background.

But Eric Draper, a White House photographer, took the photo from behind the president and president-elect, to show the "Resolute" desk. It was used by presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt but not in the Oval. In that office, it's been used by Kennedy, Carter, Reagan, Clinton and Bush 43, the White House's present occupant. It's hard to imagine Obama choosing to use any of the other available presidential desks.

VERY beautiful pic! to see the famous desk, used by JFK, the one john john, played under, pics, from history! colors are so great, more important, the view! to see our 43rd & 44th pres. sitting together, with ease! with a look of true confort in the eyes of both men! which is VERY important to me! i will always concider our pres. bush a good pres., ALSO i respect the fact that his family, GOD & country, has alwaysbeen instilled in his life, raised by an amazing mother, barbara, father george! his wife laura, i concider to be one of the greatest pres. wives! the love i see from both bush presidents, for thier families, are one thing i admire the most! the last 8 years, bush has seen the USA through many important trails, & tribulations! with success! regardless of any negative, HE is our president!, he did keep our soils fee from attack after 9/11! he did restore our military, which was vulnerable, when he took office!
NOW comes a new term, i see a man, with a pure love for his family, if HE can love our country as much as HE loves his wife & girls, then i feel good, for now, & only pray, that HE shows this same determination, love, respect, & drive, for our great country, as HE does for his family!
families, being top priority to me, our country much in need, to secure jobs, homes, & some relief, to keep our families a float!
with all said,
i send my GREATEST RESPECT & BLESSINGS to both presidents! our 43rd & 44th presidents of the united states!
GOD bless america,
& a prayer to all our veterns, on this day,
nov.11, 2008!
