Thud, there goes the "auntie" under the bus with the rest of undesireables. What a joke!

This dirty trick finally made up my mind? This really is sickening? That some unknown entity would try to sabotage Obama's campaign, by fingering his aunt for an immigration violation. Did some sleazy group allied to the Republicans hire an investigator, to look for a skeleton in the closet?
I'm an Independent and will be definitely voting for Obama now. It just shows what the other side will lower themselves to win. We don't need people like that, in power. Not that the Democrats have not reverted to dirty tricks. Some of my family are in dire need of health care. My step daughter who died with cancer, found insurance companies implying she had a pre-existing condition so that they could deny her coverage. She passed away this year.
I don't mind paying my share of taxes, but I draw the line in supporting every illegal alien who slips pas the border patrol.
We don't need McCain's platform of a $5.000 dollar credit, when we can sweep to one side greedy health insurance companies. Outside of Obama's contribution for America's future,
I resent his insistence in giving 37 million illegal aliens, NOT 13 MILLION, according to the Tucson sector Border Patrol union local 2544 (with an additional half-million coming every year) a blanket amnesty.
A massive financial impact on our economy by importing the worlds poor. However, I respect Obama's foreign policy, his rebuilding our interior infrastructure, neglected by the Bush mob. No more outsourcing without financial consequences or selling America to some countries that hate us.

The "middle class" estimation of the Obama campaign dropped to $120,000 a year in Bill Richardson's speech the other day. That's down from the original $250,00 and the $200,000 Obama himself quoted in his infomercial.
That means a couple that each make $60,000 a year would get no tax cut and STILL would be responsible for spreading the wealth to illegals like Aunt Zeutuni under an Obama administration.
If you believe there's anything right about any of that go ahead and vote for Obama.

The reason the Bush McCain administration did this was to force struggling working class kids into the military to pay for the sudden jump in tuition. Which was forced on them by the corrupt Bush McCain administration, and their corrupt Republican Governors, and republican controlled state legislatures.

See, Bush McCain had plans to get us into all these immoral, foolish, criminal, and unnecessary wars from the start. So they could use these wars to seize power, and later to get reelected. But, for their evil plan to work they needed more volunteer soldiers struggling to pay for an education whose blood they could spill to help them seize more power. Remember Bush McCain's "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!" theatrics.

The exploitation, and lost lives of these finest Americans is despicable, disgusting, immoral, corrupt and criminal. And it makes me SICK, and ANGRY!

You will have to vote for Obama, and the democrats in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush McCain vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help your fellow Americans cast their votes now, and on through election day. Vote for Obama, and the democrats like your life, and the lives of your loved ones depends on it. Because it does. You will not survive 4 more years of "Let Them Eat Cake" Bush McCain, and their republican allies.

If Sen. Obama does not know what his own aunt is doing in this country, how can we expect him to know about us? Wake up voters!

So in the past few months, Obama has not only disowned his spiritual adviser, Rev. Wright, but now his own aunt. What a stand-up guy.

Who cares! I'm going to vote for McCain and I could care less about this. My problem is that Obama has been hanging around with a bunch of ultraviolent people who plotted the overthrow of our government. Bernadine Dohrn said of the Manson Murders, "Dig it. As for questions, what happened with the dire health situation for Obama's grandmother that was sooooo important that he had to fly to Hawaii for one whole day, and now there is no mention about her. Did she die, did she suddenly recover completely. Is she still on deaths door, or did Obama get any and all incriminating evidence from you house in just one day, so that is no longer a reason to mention her.

I was wondering why Warren Buffett was such a big supporter of Barack Obama and why MSNBC was in the tank for him. Then I remember that Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are best buds.
They both went to Harvard and Buffett attended Columbia. Bill Gates is also trying to push congress to allow more visa to non-americans so they can work at Mircosoft. I envisioned that Warren and Bill where playing bridge one day and made a bet of 1 dollar to see if they can buy an election and get a black man to be president and they would be able to control him. He promises to bring change to our country? How much change did he bring to the embarrassing corruption in his home city and state? His wishy-washy "Present" votes and frequent absences in the Senate shows he's not bringing much change there, either.

When I hire someone, I look at their resume to see what they've done. Except for entry level positions, I have never hired someone on what they promise to do without a resume behind them. If applicants promise change, I'd want to see a solid history of successful change experiences. Obama successfully gives speeches and runs for office. Does that qualify him for the most powerful position in our country?

I love the way the republicans are scratching their heads wondering why none of this matters to people. It might be because you are the same people who told us in 2000 that Bush was better than McBush. Talk about judgement!

It's interesting to see the lack of cultural awareness when I read some of these blogs.

This Auntie episode is a prime example. I, like Sen. Obama, did not have a relationship with my father, and have sisters and other family members that I have never met or met once in my lifetime. I find it interesting that these journalists automatically assume that Obama should know the comings and goings, and legal status of his paternal relatives when it is clear that he wasn't particularly close to them. That is the nature of having an extended family, that you probably don't understand unless it has happened to you.

I also find it quite amusing that the author never heard the "child of God" expression. I don't know if it is just common in the Black community, or a part of the Southern lexicon, but my mother, uses this phrase quite frequently. She grew up in the North but has southern roots. It is very common, and I am willing to bet that if you took a poll among a segment in the Black community, they have heard the expression at least once by a parent, or other relative, in their lifetime.

If Obama's illegal alien auntie could donate to his campaign, could she register to vote too?

Even if she is Obama "auntie" and had an asylum denied in 2004, it could have been a hatchet job by one of those Alberto/Ashcroft appointed Immigration Judges who were not properly vetted, to pay back for Obama's seizing the Senate seat in Illinois in the March 2004 primary. Recall that Karlito Rover was still rooting about in Bush's White House then and ordered Justice Dept to appoint certain Immigration Judges.
Of course there is no way of knowing the truth here because by law and for obvious prudential reasons asylum hearings and applications are confidential and closed to the public. Who ever (if anyone) "leaked" documents committed a felony.

Even if the report about 2004 is true, her case could very easily still be on appeal. It takes about 9 months even to type up a transcriptof a hearing, an d 1 year to 2 to even 3 for the Board of Immigration Appeals to decide an appeal. There is a further appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the circuit where the hearing was held. That can add easily another year. Assuming a reversal and remand, this lady could still have another hearing.

In addition if country conditions changed for the worse, on the second hearing (or reopened case) she could still prevail on the asylum claim.

By law asylum applicants are entitled to employment authorization and other assistance from charities and public welfare, for obvious humanitarian reasons.

Even if she was finally denied in 2004 and all appeals exhausted, unlikely she would tell Obama or anyone else she was intending to "go underground".

The fact is, she apparently is not "gone underground" because reporters have found her.

ICE agents can be pretty dumb, but presumably not dumber than reporters.

Which brings up something a little bird told me:

ICE (the enforcer, knuckle dragging, manacle toting branch of immigration) is mad at Obama because he made a speech back in the campaign about ICE officers and their Gestapo-like behaviour. Breaking down doors and all.
