Most people are enthusiastic about the choices they face for the next president, but among supporters of Democrat Barack Obama, excitement is running at about twice the rate of enthusiasm for Republican John McCain's presidency.
These are among the findings of Marist Poll of voters nationally, released on the eve of a historic presidential election .
81 percent of those voters backing Obama are enthused about their vote, the survey found, compared with 37 percent of McCain's backers.
With 72 percent of the voters surveyed expecting lone lines at their polling place, 41 percent say they will stay as long as it takes to cast a ballot - including 48 percent of Obama's backers, 39 percent of McCain's. 38 percent are concerned about many people being told they are ineligible to vote - including 48 percent of Obama's backers, and 26 percent of McCain's.
The survey of 716 voters was conducted Oct. 29 and has a possible four percentage point margin of error.

McCain supporters had better get to the polls or the union domination of the Democratic Party will give international union bosses unfettered power over the 92.5% of Americans in free enterprise who work for union-free companies! How many of these small companies will survive forced unionization imposed without private-ballot elections? How many jobs will be lost?
