The Associated Press this afternoon gave North Carolina to President-elect Barack Obama today, which makes him the first Democrat since Jimmy Carter in 1976 to win that state, with its 15 electoral votes.
So now Obama's winning electoral map looks like this:
The only state that hasn't been called yet is Missouri with 11 electoral votes.
Obama has won nine of President Bush's 2004 states, which pretty much underscores how perfect this electoral storm was with the combination of Obama's effective ground game, the hunger for change and demographic shifts allowing him to remake the map.

It took 8 years of Bush to accomplish this, but there ya go, you betcha.
The Neo-Con dream of a permanent majority is dead.
Yet thanks to Bush Pres.Elect Obama has the power of a unitary executive.
He may need this power to undo the crimes of Bush.
Just remember neo-cons; When you are being tortured, it's not torture. When you want a trial lawyer, there ain't no Magna Carte'. (I know, it's English. Habeas Corpus in other words)
Relax, I was being ironic and sardonic and sarcastic all rolled into one.
Prez 'Bama will restore America's freedoms.

President Elect Obama has won an electoral landslide. All those red states barely add up to CA and NY.
Why isn't the MSM talking about the Obama mandate?
Looks like the MSM is conservative.
After all, according to McCain, Obama is a socialist and he won by a large majority.

Now the country can breathe a sign of relief now that President-elect Obama and VP Joe Biden re-gained the White House. CNN, msnbc, and AP have yet to call the final result of Missouri. Does anyone know what the delay is about? Go Blue Mizzou!

Any state that can't it together to count ballots after nearly 2 full days since the polls closed should be ousted from the Union. I'm looking at you too Florida.

Obama's winds in the South have truly reshaped the political maps in this country. Forget a black candidate; Obama's wins in these states mean that Democrats can again compete in states besides Florida in the old Confederacy

Check it out, Mike. Florida is rid of Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris, and as you can see, it's now bright blue.

I live right across the border from Missouri and as soon as you cross the border it's like being in Alabama or Mississippi, so I won't be surprised if it goes to McCain.
