Brian Moore knows socialists. Socialists are friends of his. And he says that Sen. Barack Obama is no socialist.
And Moore should know since he's the Socialist Party candidate for president.
Moore was on C-Span's Washington Journal program yesterday when he was asked by a caller whether Obama was a socialist, a political philosophy the Democratic presidential nominee has been tagged with by Sen. John McCain because of the Illinois Democrat's "spread the wealth" comment to Joe "the Plumber" Wurzelbacher.
Moore's answer:
First of all, Mr. Obama is not a socialist, he's a capitalist and a capitalist in the bad sense. He's received $25 million from contributions from Wall St. He's embraced the bailout, voted and supported the bailout. He's supporting a health-care system that would turn over authority back to the private insurance companies."
He's going to increase the military in Afghanistan and Pakistan and Iran and the military bases in iraq. in no way is this man a socialist.
He's tinkering with capitalism. He's a mild reformer. He wants to reform the system instead of radically changing it. Remember now, the Democrats since 1948 have been advocating a universal health plan since Harry Truman. For 40 years they were in power in Congress and did nothing. Thery're not going to do anything now. And i feel mr. Obama's going to be all words and promises and four years from now there's going to be a huge disappointed electorate, especially the young people in this country will be so disillusioned with the leadership under the Democrats because of their promises and empty words."
The Obama campaign may want to buy up some TV airtime and give it to Moore so that he can bash Obama for being a capitalist and no socialist. Just a thought.

Though you can't believe Obama anymore.
First Obama starts out his campaign saying anyone making $300K will get a tax cut. Then it has dropped to $250K, then $200K, then $150K and the amount continues to go down.
obama is a liar. Anything out of his mouth is not the truth. Can't trust him PERIOD

2009 report: Republicans today were able to understand the force behind their 2008 election loss. It was found to basically come down to divisive campaigning. People obviously were put off by the typical nasty politicing by McBush/Failin. After 10 years or more of the bile regurgitated by the republicans, the American people just plain and simple....had enough. Remember the words spoken by your Messiah...........Just shouting liberal just don't cut it anymore.

Obviously, Obama's no more a socialist than McCain or Bush or Hank Paulson who is nationalizing banks. But that never stopped them from trying to score politcal points with Joe the so-called plumber.

Everybody's talking about socialism, socialism, socialism and here Senator McCain wants to buy all the bad mortgages. Senator McCain sounds more like a socialist than a capitalist, but with 12 homes and a private jet, he must be part of the apparatchic !!? I bet he thanks his lucky stars that he had the good fortune to avoid that Charles Keating character !!

Why don't we call it what it is: fair taxation!!!! What makes some of you think we should carry the weight of the rich and they shouldn't pay their PROPORTIONATE SHARE????? Also, here's a good representative of McCain's: Maybe you haven't heard about it yet, but some woman was asking trick or treaters who they were supporting and if they said "Obama", she refused to give them candy!!!!! Let me get this straight....an avowed socialist says Obama is not a socialist. I think I saw this one on Star Trek years ago when Harry Mudd and his androids captured Kirk and the gang. They told the head android everything they said was a lie...then told him they were telling a lie. The android fell into a logic loop and blew his circuits. I guess that is what we are expected to do….listen to this tripe and blow a few neurons. While Obama may not be a textbook socialist, he's definitely too close for comfort. His comments regarding sharing/spreading the wealth, implementing redistributive policies and using courts to ensure social and economic justice.....come on...you guys can't be this dense. Of course, there is some good news leaking from his surrogates. All you fools who think they are getting a tax break under Obama will be in basically the same muck as the rest of us....paying higher taxes so he can give your money away to someone else who did nothing to earn it. ya dat obama is no socialist. I am swedish and sweden knows socialists. Dem republicans have just showed how desperate and divisisve they are by trying to lie and label someone. Like making a liberal a bad thing. Well, republicans are just like McCarthy so noone is taking their lies and attacks seriously anymore. Maybe they would have more luck with wedge issues, like gay marriage, or gays in the military, or abortion or school prayer or school vouchers, or on and on. Maybe if they can split off more value voters no one will notice how they have ruined the country. For a republican being a thief and a liar is better than being a socialist, makes sense if all you care about is money.
