Okay. It only gets more anticlimatic after that.
The former vice presidential candidate took questions from the media after her speech at the Republican Governors Association meeting in Miami. Sarah Palin was on stage with a bevy of other governors, but, of course, no one wanted to speak to them.
The Alaska governor never took questions in this format during the campaign. Thursday, however she took, count 'em, four. Watch it here. It won't take long.
More coverage after the jump.

Oh, goddess, make her STOP!

Two high-level observations:
1. I think she's changed stylists -- her hair's different. ;)
2. She sounds so much more eloquent and real when she's not being coached by the campaign. If she'd been a little more like this, maybe things could have been different.
Who knows?

She has ideas that she "knows are going to work"!! I LOL when i heard that one. That greeny couldn't get a campaign to work, let alone a big picture solution for the country!

I can name at least one other candidate who didn't do Press Conferences the last months of the campaign. His initials are BHO.
Can we expect Mr. Oliphant to write a similarly snarky column when and if this BHO fellow ever does a press conference?????

Someone needs to ask her more tough questions. She does not understand the common thread and civil discourse required for governing the United States. Again, God is suppose to guide and open the door for her. What ever happen to separation of Church and State. We do not want someone that thinks that they were anointed to lead us. We need someone that will have some common concerns such as global warming and ending wars when necessary.

I did not vote for Sarah Palin (too conservative) but I thought she was treated disgracefully and I firmly believe she is VASTLY more intelligent than she was ever credited with being. Iwish the campaign had not controlled her so tightly -- I think it would have been a much different race. Someone from Salon wrote a column yesterday discussing that very thing. (It also discusses Obama and Ayers) -- found it; here's the link: http://www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2008/11/12/palin/index1.html

Face it. Palin is a political STAR and the media NOW finally (when the election is over) reflect the wide band of the public who are enthralled with her and her down-to-earth talk and demeanor. In spite of the media's attempt to destroy her prior to the election, the public had other access through the internet to see that she definitely is not the ditz they tried to portray. Lesson 1001: Media cannot lie to the public anymore; they have their own eyes and ears.

Melissa:
If the public is so enthralled with her, why did she and McCain lose so badly on November 4??? They even lost Republican states like North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa and Ohio,
Regime Change, I mean Brucie:
Obama talked to the press more than Palin ever did - including O'Reiily. The only person Palin did interviews with was Sean Hannity. Otherwise, the McCain campaign kept her out of sight.

Smartest thing the McCain campaign did was pressing the mute button on her. McCain has gave his gracious concession speech and went on to Leno. But ole Sarah is still campaigning. Hell bent on getting the last word in. The more she talks - the worse it gets. And the rest of you who have fallen in love with her will finally see that it was not Obama or McCain - but her. Nobody made her accept that invitation to seek Vice-President - not even the LORD. She needs to take responsibility, but that is the last thing you will EVER get out of Sarah Palin.

Will she please go away..........She definately has her eyes on 2012 and if allowed to run will be a waste of money...She has plenty to do in Alaska and in her homelife..Leave us alone down here in the lower 48..The video sounds like she is still attempting to run for VP..They lost. She should get over it...

Regime Change, are you serious? Saying Obama never talked to the press? Where were you?
Melissa, I think you are way off base claiming the media mistreated Palin. She brought on much of what the media dished out. Palin's sarcasm, repeated falsehoods, open disdain for the media, ... Everything she did was scripted, she did not make herself available to the media for honest questions and answers. You talk as though Palin is a victim.
BobinATL: I wrote my post as I read through the others then came onto yours and saw my thoughts were yours. The truth is clear.

Didn't W say God wanted him to be President too?

"For the first time since becoming a candidate for the vice presidency in late August, Sarah Palin held an on-camera press conference with her full travelling press corps on the short flight from Ohio to Indiana this afternoon."
This was reported by CBS News on October 18, 2008.

"Bill", I said Obama didn't hold a press conference the last months of his campaign. That press conference you refer to was "November 7"--3 days AFTER the Nov. 4th election and 3 days AFTER the campaign ended.
That Nov. 4th election was reported in all the newspapers. Didn't you hear about it?

Quite frankly, after 2 years on the trail, I think I had seen enough of Obama. He was on the TV 24/7.........I recieved e-mails saying he was a Muslim. After 2 years, I had enough time to make a decision. What I lacked, was any proof positive that Palin could string a set of words into a whole sentence outside of the stump speeches. Since we only had 3 months to get to know her, I think it imperative to hear as much as we could from her.
