Barack Obama still wants your money. But now you can get something back -- just in time for the holidays!
According to his website, a donation of $15 or more will place this "limited edition" coffee mug in your hot little hands.
What makes it a "limited edition?" Well, it's uh, black. And it has the words "Obama" on it. Other than that, it looks like a rather garden-variety coffee mug. Couldn't it be shaped like Joe Biden's head or something?
(I may save my money for the Sarah Palin limited edition ammunition belt.)
For a donation of $200,000 or more, Bill Clinton will come over and pour the coffee himself.

"What makes it a 'limited edition?'", asks James Oliphant.
.
The term "limited edition" means that only a certain fixed number of an item will be produced. If that number is low enough, the item may then become valuable as a collectable. There may be nothing extraordinary to distinguish the product (other than, say, a logo). Often "Limited Edition" is just a ruse for jacking up the price.
.
I thought everybody knew what the term means. I certainly thought a journalist for a major daily would know that... with the higher edjamaction and all.

Sounds like "bottom of the cup"
as the old saying was "bottom of the bucket".

This may be the McBama administration. I'd like fries with that.

This is truly hilarious! The exact same mug had been for sale the entire campaign season on the Obama website. Other times they would ask for $15 - $30 for a ‘limited edition’ magnet or some jive and then post it up in the store section for $5 not one month later.
Still, probably my favorite slice of paraphernalia this entire election had to be the Palin/McCain yarmulke on sale at my local Jewish crafts shop. Baruch!
