Obama should hire a team of circus clowns, psychics and palm readers to come out and read his report next week. Watching the exploding heads of the Rush and Hannity Republican robots on here would make for a perfect X-mas gift.

This headline should read:

Obama Transition Team Clears Obama and Team of Wrongdoing.

Well! This report certainly restored my piece of mind! I've been steaming over the latest ABC report where ABC spent 5 pages trying to link Emanuel to the Blago scandal, using innduendo, speculation and the mysterious Unnamed Source.

Sure, and we should just go ahead and believe this INTERNAL Report conducted by a Clinton Lawyer. Right. Guess what's coming next, an INTERNAL Report from both Tony Rezko and Rod Blagojevich proclaiming them both innocent after an INTERNAL investigation.

Keep the change - there's nothing here worth believing but a bunch of INTERNAL lies.

So Obama's lawyer clears Obama's team. Just like Blago's lawyer clears Blago. As Gomer Pyle used to say, "Surprise, surprise!"

Blago reports clears Blago of any wrong doing in "Senate Seat for Sale" case

Uhhhhh.....

So how come we haven't seen Rahm for over a week? And how come other reports cited 21 contacts with Blago or Harris? Sounds like another shady manuever by Obama and Emanuel. Get used to it - 4 more years of misleading information and half truths...

Again the media clears Obama and his staff before any information actually comes out. Does it not matter that Stephanopolis' (who worked for the Clintons) report is contradicted by other reports that Rahm has 20+ contacts with Blago?

The real problem was in Obama's delay in answering these questions. If he didn't know about Emanuel's multiple contacts, he should have. If Emanuel didn't tell Obama, then he should be fired. There was nothing wrong with Obama or his man expressing their wishes about the Senate seat. The delay made it look like a cover-up. And it also made it look like they waited until Christmas week to take advantage of low media interest.

Oh yeah it was a courtesy call... thats how Blago got Valerie Jarrets name.. out of the courtesy blue...

And the George Stehphanopolis should know what he is talking about. He spent years covering up for the Clintons...

I'm glad to learn that Obama's staff cleared Obama's staff of having anything to do with Blago's attempt to wheel and deal with Obama's replacement position.

Let's see... Rahm had only one contact with Blago ........ plus four more with his staff for a total of five overall but I guess only the first one counts.

Actually, considering the intelligence of Obama's team, I would be surprised if Emanuel wasn't the person who gave up Blagojevich, especially with the criminal aspects. Jesse Jackson Jr. on the other hand I would bet, especially since they arrested Blagojevich right after talking to the esteemed congressman, would at least be tainted! Any other office besides the solid African-American base he caters to, and holds now, would forever be out of his reach! And that's a GOOD thing!

Oh Boy, Obama is going to release his report. Done with no supeona's, no worry of perjury charges, no legal legs to stand on, and no worry of making himself look bad. I'll wait for the federal prosecutor to release more information before I believe the Obama report.

As a Chicagoan, I'm a bit jaded in that I doubt Fitzgerald will take a tenuous case against the incoming US President's team unless he had more proof.

I don't doubt that Obama's boy is dumb enough to openly bargain over the senate seat and that Blago wasn't smart enough to read between the lines and try to negotiate some favor in the future.

Obama's relationship with Blago was anything but cozy. The right wing is desperately trying to weave some sort of corruption by the Obama people into this and it just isn't going to happen. It is clear that their sole objective will be to dishonor and bring down the new administration and Congress, any way they can. You WingNuts really do have short attention spans. From the onset of this investigation Federal Prosecuting Attorney Fitzgerald said that there was absolutely no link between the Obama Team and Gov. Blago. My guess is that PE Obama could not comment because of the ongoing investigation which one with normal common sense would agree upon. I expect that is why PE Obama made the comment this last midweek stating that it is frustrating not being able to release any information, at this time.

Any phone calls between Blago and Rahm that were taped will be "bleeping" x rated. According to the Supreme Court they should not be aired until after 10 p.m

I don't know why you haven't seen him, but he's been right there in his usual spot off to the side of every press conference save for one, when according to reports he attended a recital at City Hall with his kids.

That report originated from one sentence in Michael Sneed's GOSSIP column in the Chicago Tribune, something most of the media outlets who picked it up neglected to mention. Sneed is also known to be a mouthpiece for Blagojevich.

Per my previous post, I meant Blagojevich mouthpiece Michael Sneed's gossip column in the Chicago Sun-Times. That's where the "21 phone calls" info comes from. Sorry Trib...

It was ready a week ago. U.S. Attorney Fitzgerald asked them to hold up, a fact confirmed by his office.

Sure it's an internal review, but it happens to corroborate the U.S. Attorney's statement that neither Obama nor his staff are implicated in the investigation, and Blago caught on tape cursing them out for offering nothing but appreciation It's also a lot more than you could expect from Bush administration. Heck, Karl Rove refused to talk to Fitzgerald unless he was subpoenaed.

Courtesy call to say he was accepting Chief of Staff positon, and if I read the preview of the report correctly some talk about the Senate seat. There were also four calls to Blago's chief of staff. I assume Blago talks to his own chief of staff.
