Paul Weyrich prepares to chair a Free Congress Foundation meeting, November 14, 2007, in Washington, D.C. (Andrew Councill/MCT)
by Frank James
Paul Weyrich, one of the best-known leaders of the conservative movement, died this morning at age 66 from an undisclosed cause.
He was a co-founder of the Heritage Foundation, one of the most influential think tanks in the nation's capital.
Heritage has a tribute on its website with a number of eulogies from many well-known congressional Republicans.
Weyrich also founded the Free Congress Foundation, a think tank aimed at advancing conservative positions on cultural issues.

Heritage Foundation "think tank" is the best example of an oxymoron that I have ever heard.

Weyrich was certainly remarkable figure in politics and a historical one for the conservative movement. Too bad - for their sake - that his political style has been lost among modern conservatives.

Condolences to his family; but not to the vote suppression principles that he pioneered. I would have stayed silent, but you asked for it John D.

But,,,, he looks like a Nazi. Sorry.
Not politically correct I know.
But lets not forget; The cons., McCain included, were calling Obama a socialist.

Another neo-con bites the dust! The right wingers in this world contribute chaos. Hitler, Tojo, Mussollini, Pinochit, Bush. They contribute naught to their nations. They do not do something for their country, rather they usuallly do something to their country. whiteagle38
