The president-elect leaves himself vulnerable to talk of tilting at windmills.

President-elect Barack Obama plans a pre-inaugural trip to the bellwether state that helped elect him president -- Ohio -- to promote one of the platforms of his economic stimulus plan: Wind-energy.

Obama will visit Bedford Heights, Ohio, on Friday to spotlight a firm that manufactures parts for wind turbines to promote his "American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan.''

Obama's stop at Cardinal Fastener and Specialty Co., which his office bills as "a growing company with innovative production practices that manufactures parts used to construct wind turbines,'' could be the start of a series of field trips aimed at focusing public attention on his push for an $800-billion-or-greater economic stimulus.

Obama "will discuss how companies like Cardinal Fastener and workers like those in Bedford Heights would benefit from an American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan,'' his office says, explaining that the plan proposes to create "nearly half a million American jobs by investing in clean energy like wind power.''

If that plan passes, Cardinal, for one, may be hiring.

What a great idea!!!

Let's get people off of welfare (free food, free housing, medicaid) and offer them work building wind turbines in Ohio.

Let's see a show of hands for those of you willing to go!

um...a show of hands, anyone?

Oh, Paulo--go get a job yourself.
And since you're so for CORPORATE welfare like the 350 billion bailout to bankers who DID NOT FREE UP MONEY FOR AMERICANS TO USE HERE---how about this:
5 grand per person--10 grand back if you BUY a solar or wind installation--then the peace candidate has no reason to take us into afghanistan and we can bring the troops home NOW NOW NOW.

Be sure to put a row of those turbines in front of Barack's teleprompter whenever he's laying his "soaring rhetoric" on the plebes... and we'll be set with electricity for the foreseeable future.

Free food, free housing, free medicaid?? Where do I sign up for that Paulo? Is that a new program?

The idea of the stimulus is to create jobs, and get us into alternative energy, so let's go for it. Right, Inky?

Actually Flo, it's not a new program at all. L.B.J. started the ball rolling back in the 1960's and since then it's estimated the gov. has spent about 11-13 trillion on food stamps, section eight housing, and medicaid.

Don't sign up for it either...you'll get lazy.

Wind Power-
Hope Obama's HOT WIND warms up the State, here in Illinois we could use some heat. Durbin is sure no warmth for the state.

These are the deep thinking, helpful tips from the right that might just be the reason we're in the trouble we're in.
