The president may be a BlackBerry fanatic, but the vice president is having a little trouble with his Web-sites - the one, indeed, which the president set up to track all the stimulus spending.
And Vice President Joe Biden is the one charged with overseeing the spending of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The morning after President Barack Obama touted his administration's commitment to "honest'' budgeting, Biden wanted to let viewers of the CBS Early Show today know how to find that Web-site, but couldn't think of the "number.''
"You know, I'm embarrassed,'' Biden told his host.
"Do you know the Web site number?" the vice president asked, turning to an aide off-set.
"I should have it in front of me and I don't,'' Biden confessed.
"I'm actually embarrassed."
Then, it came to him: "It is recovery.gov''
Now, the Internets may not work like a big telephone book, and you won't find recovery.gov in the Yellow Pages, but these Web-sites do have Internet Protocol addresses, and they are a series of numerals.
This one's IP address is 216.35.173.236
So we'll give the vice president the benefit of the doubt here, and assume he was trying to think of that IP address. Right.
