The Democratic National Committee has announced its top five choices for the billboard message it plans to put up in conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh's hometown of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Here's the e-mail from Jen O'Malley Dillon alerting the world of its picks, culled from the 50,000 responses it received to its contest, all a part of the Democratic strategy to persuade Americans that the Republican Party has moved from being the Party of Lincoln to the Party of Rush. (Maybe there's a slogan in that) :

Friend --

Last week, I asked if you had a message you'd like to send Rush Limbaugh. The response was overwhelming. We received tens of thousands of submissions, and we picked the top five:

"Americans didn't vote for a Rush to failure"

"Hope and change cannot be Rush'd"

"Failure is not an option for America's future"

"We can fix America, just don't Rush it"

"Rush: Say yes to America" Now, we're putting it up for a vote. Decide which slogan Rush will see in his home town.

The slogan with the most votes will be put on a billboard where Rush can't miss it.

It's up to you to let Rush know that Americans reject his desire to see President Obama -- and our country -- fail.

Vote for your favorite slogan now:

Thanks,

Jen

Since billboards are usually at the sides of major roads, here's a possibility not on their list: "It's no longer Rush hour in America."

Mullah Limbaugh billboard:

"The De Facto Leader of the Republican party wants you to know that he enjoys Hillbilly Heroin and Viagra fueled Sex trips to the Dominican Republic - Have a Nice Day"

WOW so we must have fixed the ecomomey , the gay ban is still in effect and world peace has been found since the democrates have nothing esle to do but bully and bow beat with billboards someone who is exercising his freedom of speech, still no trust in the white house at this moment...

Hey, here's one Jen probably didn't consider:

"Buffett and Welch Rush to Limbaugh's Side!"

Ever wonder how Republican politicians are able to tuck their tails between their legs and apologize so quickly to Druggy Rush when they've offended their dear leader?

Given the dramatic cultural and demographic changes under way in this country, the GOP faces a real possibility of being reduced to a permanent regional party of limited national relevance unless it broadens its appeal beyond angry white men living primarily in the states of the old Confederacy. That being the case, why are they kissing the ring of the angry white man (Limbaugh) who broadcasts from West Palm Beach?

The GOP has reliably been able to woo these red necks by demonizing gays, people of color, Muslims, feminists and anyone else who did not fit their white picket fence fantasies. But the changes afoot in our country suggest that won't work quite as well in the future as it has up till now.

Democrats--instructed, we now know, by top Obama adviser David Axelrod--have been attacking Rush Limbaugh as unpatriotic for saying that he hopes Barack Obama's political stratagems will fail. So, let's take a walk down memory lane. When a Republican was in the White House, were Democrats rooting for his success?

It's a silly question, I know, for anyone who lived through the last eight years. But for any Rip van Winkles journalist who's reading this, let's recall the Aug. 2006 Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll, in which a majority of Democrats said that they wanted President Bush to fail. The question asked was: Regardless of how you voted in the presidential election, would you say you want President Bush to succeed or not?

51 percent of Democrats did not want Bush to succeed. [40% did]

If Frank van Winkle paused from his 24-7 pass-along of DNC press releases. he might realize just how silly he's become.

Hmmm, hope and change are turning into depression and destruction. Anyway, a poll in 2006 found that 62 percent of Democrats wanted President Bush to fail.
Also, Limbaugh said he doesn't want socialism to succeed, he wants socialism to fail and that if that is the course Obama chooses, then he wants him to fail.
The vast majority of Americans do not want socialism. When Obama's numbers are crashing this summer and into next year, will the Obamabots and Obamabot media note how the majority of Americans are against their hallowed leader?

Those are the five best? Lame.

I think it's a good idea.
Look, the DNC and the RNC are the political arms of the parties. They have nothing to do with fixing the economy.

In fact, you could say that discrediting Rush helps the economy. He proposes tax cuts for himself, and otherwise, do nothing.

A political swipe at Rush,( a political @$$wipE) is perfectly within the new politics invented by Newt, et al.

People, can we please, please grow up? I am sick of it and can't take it anymore!!! Those who want the US to fail, please purchase a one-way ticket out of the country. United we stand; divided we fall.

Little Side Show Johnny,
The scary "socialist" talking point didn't work for you nutty Wingnuts during the Pres election and it's not working now - Will You Please Come Up With Something New?!?!

Druggy Rush started his own demise when he puked out that he wanted Obama to fail only three days after the inauguration. All Obama ever said to the GOPer's was that they shouldn't always listen to Rush and he only said it one time....and he's right.

The Repugs were left to either agree with Rush or diss him, thus the mess they find themselves in now.

Lochness, you are such a hoot! For years all you did was take swipes at Bush, the GOP, conservatives, anyone you disagreed with or didn't like. You were on the side of those wanting Bush to fail and the U.S. to fail in Iraq. Now you're telling those who don't want Obama's socialistic policies to succeed to leave the country. I just wish you and your Lefty ilk did leave the country the past 8 years. If you had, the U.S. would be better off, stronger and in much better shape.

A nation full of lib readers and these are the best they could come up with??? Ha!! You libs really are a sadder lot than even I imagined.

We conservatives don't want the U.S. to fail. We want it to succeed beyond anyone's wildest imaginings. Therefore Obama's socialist agenda must fail.

The last best hope for America -- the ultimate bailout, if you will -- is mass deportation of liberals to the socialist utopia of their choosing. I will gladly put up some of my own money to buy one-way airfare for that bailout plan.

FRom the party that is led by George Soros and Michael Moore

Candidly, I view all this as an outrageous waste of time. We finally have someone in the White House for whom such things as thoughtful and nuanced ideas are not anathema. This will probably not happen again in my lifetime. We should seize such an opportunity and not be distracted. This whole stupid obsession over Rush shows that some in the DNC still think they're in the campaign. They're not. It's over and they won. Do they get it? They won.

Now drop this Rush nonsense, and let's go forward on the urgent fronts of a teetering economy, the need for clean domestic energy, for globally competitive education, for easily available health care, for greater cohesion among our allies abroad, for holding the international line on calculated terror against cultural pluralism, for holding the international line on global diplomacy and the rule of law, and the need for proceeding internationally and cooperatively on addressing polar warming and global climate control.
