Michelle Obama is going back to school - and taking Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow and astronaut Mae Jemison with her.
The first lady is being joined by the women - as well as Denyce Graves, Kerry Washington, Debbie Allen, Maggie Daley, Lisa Leslie, Bobbi Brown, Dominique Dawes, Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard, Penny Pritzker and Gen. Ann Dunwoody - to speak to students in Washington, D.C.-area high schools about setting career goals. The Thursday visits are part of Women's History Month, reports The Washington Post.
Table manners alert: The special day will wrap up with dinner at the White House, not only for the guest speakers, but also for several students invited from the various schools.

Maybe we'll get a few more helpful suggestions from the right again on this thread. Like the right to "bare" arms and such. Can you imagine using these types of people to help with education? There will no doubt be a gush of love following soon.

Unfortunately, these are OLD ladies talking to young people.
Where are the young ladies talking to young people?
Youth want youth, not the aged.

She gets highest marks, summa cum laude.
She is going to be the most inspirational First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt put on a nurse's uniform and went out in the Pacific in WW II visiting field hospitals & talking to GI's.
We are so tired of the only images from high schools being of ambulances picking up bodies of 14 year old boys who've been killed by automatic weapon fire.
Maybe somewhere down the road Michelle might take up this issue on a future visit to a high school?

Except when they need money.

Do you know the proverb: "If youth only knew, if aged only could!"?
That's what it is all about. Getting the knowldgeand the widson to the youth.
By the way, what do you even call OLD? Because if I remeber right, Michelle Obama is 45! Alicia Keys is 27. I call that MATURE, not OLD!
Thumbs up to the first lady and the other ladies for what they did!
I am 17 and that's how I feel...We, the youth, may of course related more to the youth, but we need the aged for all their widsom (and not just money!Lol!)

A good way to inspire high schoolers would be to start in DC and put the voucher program back for poor children attending her daughters' school
