Yes, she is a talk show host and has her own magazine, among other things. She can put who ever she wants on her cover, and if she wants to celebrate the Obamas, then she gets to. No one is forcing you to read it. However, if you did, you would find it great insight to the issues that women are interested in and the ones they care about.

Your correct about jobs and the stock market though. Makes you think back to when your buddy BJ Clinton was in the White House. The market was at 14,000. Five million more people were employed. Forty five million more people had health care coverage. Gas was less than $2 a gallon. And we all had more money in our bank accounts, IRA's and pension funds. Hey...By all means don't let me stop you from telling women what to think and who looks out for who's interests. You obviously have your hand on the pulse. Do you also suggest they listen to Rush....you know the guy who said the feminist movement was created so ugly women can enter the mainstream? Is that a pretty Easter Egg of a cover or what? Of course you know that "pie" is a huge internet joke that will have certain people rolling in the aisles. There's video of our President using "pie" about a dozen times on a campaign stop.

And, of course you know that every slice of pie the President's family eats, the President pays for. Every single bite of food they eat they pay for, so they can eat anything they want, dontcha think?

This is not a good thing. I like and admire Michelle Obama very much and I don't want to see her become "owned" by The Oprah like everyone else she decides to promote. Being too closely aligned with The Oprah could hurt the Obamas. I would be very careful with that relationship.

OneofMany and Pearl, I'm not black and even I understood what Nicole meant. There are a huge amount of periodicals with only white or non-black women that grace its covers. Oprah is a roll model for thousands of women of all races and origins. She is successful and everyday (regardless of your lack of thought on the subject). She is approachable. She makes women think and believe that they can accomplish. However for black women she is more than that, she is an icon, a roll model, a mentor to women who never were told that they could accomplish anything. Of course you never had that experience (or at least that is the image you project through your words). Stop talking about things you don't fully understand or grasp.
