As President Barack Obama heads for California to take his economic case to the street again, his supporters are making direct appeals to supporters for help.
Specifically, the president is calling on supporters to rally support for the $3.55-trillion budget that he is asking Congress to approve. His permanent campaign -- Organizing for America -- is organizing budget-canvassing this weekend.
""I'm asking you to head outside this Saturday to knock on some doors, talk to some neighbors, and let them know how important this budget is to our future," the president says in a four-minute video that supporters are circulating via e-mail.
The budget will "lay a foundation for lasting growth and prosperity," with investments in health care, education and renewable energy, the president says. It also projects a federal deficit of $1.75 trillion this year, by far the largest in history, and $1.17 trillion in 2010. Obama pledges to cut that to $533 billion by 2013.
David Plouffe, Obama's 2008 campaign manager, circulated the video. Plouffe now runs Organizing for America, with a 14 million-name e-mail list drawn from voters who supported Obama in November.
he group, overseen by the Democratic National Committee, is asking Obama-backers to canvass in their neighborhoods this weekend and call on congressmen.

Somebody has to do something !! The last remaining ideologues, the NeoCon Republicans in our Congress, are willing to let America sink further into the quagmire, into which, the Moronic President and his band of money-grabbers, have left us !! President Obama was elected to reverse the course, of his incompetent predecessor and that is what he is trying to do !! The only problem is, the Republicans are taking their marching orders, from people, who have loudly proclaimed, they want to see our President fail !! Unsuccessful, presidential rival, Senator McCain is one of the misguided, who is talking out of all sides of his mouth and nothing is coming out, but the usual, distortions, half-truths and misstatements. This is not the loyal opposition, this is the disloyal obstructionists. So, come on, President Obama supporters, let your Congress-men and -women know, in no uncertain terms, help President Obama, defeat these hypocritical Republicans, if they can't help America and President Obama !! Beat them in Congress and beat them, again, at the polls !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

According to a Gallup poll released this week, the 12% of Americans who are following the Employee-Free Choice Act "very closely" is exceptionally low relative to public attention to other news issues Gallup has measured over the last two decades.
Gallup's August 2008 Workplace survey found only 35% in favor of unions having greater influence.
Gallup says general support for the idea of "making it easier for unions to organize" is not necessarily indicative of public reaction to the bill if and when the political debate spills over into news headlines.
So, with the arguments against card check yet to be fully aired and debated, Gallup says it could be a troubling sign for unions that no more than 53% of Americans immediately support this fundamental aspect of the card-check bill.

Make sure they don't know on my door.
Don't want the massive debt.
Don't want to pay for those who lied on their mortgage forms, failed to pay their mortage and went into foreclosure and failed to pay their credit cards.
Why is this country rewarding those who failed rather than those who struggle and continue to pay their bills?
Why should those in foreclosure get a $5000 credit just for paying their re-negotiated mortgages on time>
NO! Don't bother knocking. I'll leave a tea bag outside so you know to keep moving on to the next house.
