It's getting to be that time of year.
And presidents have follwed a certain tradition at this time of year: Sending off the graduates of one public school, one private school and one service academy.
President Barack Obama will follow suit, the White House announced today, with the president planning to deliver the Spring 2009 Commencement Addresses at:
-- Arizona State University on Wednesday, May 13.
-- The University of Notre Dame on Sunday, May 17.
-- The United States Naval Academy on Friday, May 22.
We think we know a certain Arizona senator and Naval Academy graduate who would have like to deliver a couple of these speeches.
Details, as they say, to follow.

Given your welcome comments, Mr. Silva, not only about McCain (and eager to see "details... to follow"), but also elsewhere on "The Swamp," I'd like you to see mine regarding "McNasty" (as he was known in his schooldays), starting with:
When I think they [McCain's multiple personalities] might have added their four years of loutish stupidity to George Bush’s eight years of homogenized stupidity, I break into cold sweats.
I hope you'll go to http://www.sonofthecucumberking.blogspot.com/ and take a look at "Oh Johhny, We Never Knew Ye" and "No Republican Left Behind," and if you're still with me, "Fools Rush In." I'd like to gain your respect as much as you, in great measure, have captured mine.

It's nice to have a well educated and well spoken President like Obama representing us after spending the last eight years with a Drunken Republican Frat Boy from Texas making us look like a joke in the eyes of the world.

I enjoy reading the ramblings of people like Robert Fanning, who wish to ensure that Obama doesn't speak at Notre Dame because he supports and defends the legal rights of women. I always find it amusing that the right-to-lifers never questioned George W. Bush's war policies that have resulted in countless deaths of men, women, and children in Iraqi - not withstanding the loss of more than 4,000 US soldiers.
But, what do you expect from a group of people who are so delusional that they willingly drag their own (born) children into a den of pedophiles on a weekly or daily basis.
