Expectations for President Barack Obama's premier European tour are riding fairly high - back home in the U.S. of A.
As Obama flies for London today, an overwhelming majority of Americans surveyed say they expect the president to do "a good job''of representing the United States.
His weeklong journey will carry the new president from the G-20 summit in Great Britain to NATO's 60th anniversary summit in Strasbourg to a European Union summit in Prague and to two stops in Turkey, his first appearance in a Muslim nation.
In the Mar. 12-15 survey taken by CNN and Opinion Research, 86 percent said they expect Obama to do a good job, 13 percent a poor job.
Most people also have a perception that the president faces a warm welcome in his travels. Asked if they think "leaders of countries around the world have respect for Barack Obama, or do you think they don't have much respect for him?:''
72 percent said Obama will find respect, and 24 percent said no.

Too bad he wasn't able to make this trip earlier.
Because, it is not about respect merely.
He is the personification of America's rejection of
Bushism and the Republican Party.
And that rejection needs to be underscored and emphasized to the rest of the world.
Then, the USA may get back some of its R E S P E C T.

Respect? Yeah, right. The Obama administration is already an international laughingstock.
