Bush/Cheney was a corrupt government that hid both the bodies and the books from public view. They said they were protecting us from terrorists, meanwhile the rest of the world fell apart.

It is imperative to assert the facts, and extrapolate, in order to PREVENT AND ELIMINATE further or irreversable damage to our country.

I am a simple man, and all I see is that WE, the people were cheated, our trust and money continues to be abused and the perpetrators still at large.
I do not have any confidence on this CORRUPTED PRESENT ADMINISTRATION WHICH IS PERPETUATING THIS ASSAULT AND MOVING THIS GREAT NATION TO OBLIVION.

It seems that Obama(tagged as 'president') IS the 'FRONT MAN', A 'TROJAN HORSE FACTOR', if you will, in a group interested to DESTROY OUR GREAT COUNTRY VIA ECONOMIC COLLAPSE, AND WEAKENING OF THE NATIONAL DEFENSE STRUCTURE.

But the real 'behind the scene' CONTROLLERS of this MASTER PLAN, have to be INDENTIFIED, EXPOSED AND PROVED TO BE AS THEY REALLY ARE,...ENEMIES OF THE STATE.

Here is an idea; a team of atorneys-at-the-law, experts in THE CONSTITUTION, ...investigators journalists analysts, TO LAUNCH A MASSIVE TOUR THE FORCE program of RESEARCH to PROVE TO THE PUBLIC this CURRENT CORRUPTED ADMINSTRATION AS ANTI-AMERICAN/UN-AMERICAN PRACTICES ORIENTED...so they will be IDENTIFIED AND PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC.
Then, A CALL for a GENERAL CITIZENS REFERENDUM, in order to REMOVE FROM WASHINGTON ALL OF THEM AND BE REPLACED WITH HONEST, AND SERIOUS OFFICERS TO SERVE THE COUNTRY, WITH INTEGRITY.

Perhaps, doing this - or something on that line of thought - , we do not have to wait for 2010 not even 2012 to TAKE OUR BELOVED COUNTRY BACK!

Impeachments had been done before ( for presidents, governors, etc),...perhaps THIS ONE, will be the first one on history,... to be the first of its kind... A TOTAL GOVERNMENT ANTI-TREASON IMPEACHMENT.

Pat Robertson is wrong. If Obama succeeds the country does NOT succeed. If we become more socialistic then that takes away from the country being capitalistic. Here's why Obama fails: He wants to raise taxes on those making over 250K but doesn't realize that those people, myself included will leave the job market. My wife and I both work and make a combined income over 250K. I have a two yr. plan to exit the job market so we get our income under 250K. I'll raise the kids and spend time on my boat and the administration can kiss about 35K/yr in federal taxes alone goodbye. You see, those of us that make the money can easily stop earning if we wish. When you disincentivize me to work, I won't work. I'll spend my time on the golf course and in my boat. Enjoy the tax hikes you freeloaders.

Rush Limbaugh does NOT speak for the Republicans or the Right, he speaks AGAINST the folly of the Democrat Party, Obama (BO) and the Left with its policy of spend, spend, spend. The two-party system in this country needs to be changed to a NO-PARTY system thus eliminating their constant destructive vitriol which does nothing for the constituents. It’s obvious that the hidden objectives of both parties are to satisfy their lust for power. Without party commitments a congressman would be free to represent his values and focus more on issues rather than driven to follow biased party objectives.

Despite Rush being a prescription pain killer addict, I think Rahm can beat him outright on the political stage. This will be interesting to view.

Maybe the question that should have been asked of Emanuel (and/or Obama) is whether they intend to move this country away from Capitalism and personal freedom. Does the Obama administration believe that the capitalist form of economic life and personal freedom as the basis of government will be stronger at the end of Obama's term than it is now? Will those of us that want to control our own health care be able to or will we have to select frome among the (single) government choice that will be offered us? Will Banks, Auto Companies, and other businesses be allowed to succeed or fail without government intervention? Will the money I earn working my fingers to the bone be given to my children and my local church, or will my wealth be distributed by a desk jockey in Washington to someone I do not know or, worse, to an organization I disapprove of? Will my children's college fund be used to advertise political agendas to people to convince them to take even more of my money?

Will someone in the media please ask these questions of Mr Obama so we will not need a Rush or a Glen for 3-4 hours a day warning us about how our government is becoming far worse than the government we threw off 232 years ago?

Until then, we must have Rush, and Glen, and Mark out there every day doing the modern version of what Hamilton and Jay and Franklin and others did 230 years ago!

I could write post after refuting as laughable the democrats engagement of Rush Limbaugh is, and that only shows how "dangerous" to them he is. However, I will confine myself to the "I want Obama to fail" remark, as I hope it's the easiest for most people to understand.
First, I agree with Mr. Limbaugh, NOT because like most democratic liberals I blindly follow an ideology (I also disagree on Limbaugh's stance on certain issues), but because the path that Obama is "leading" us down is simply taking embarrassing advantage of a national crisis to remold the United States into something other than what has made it great for more than 200 years. Put simply? If Obama "succeeds" then the United States greatness is diminished at a time when it can ill-afford to be, and rather than being a leader of the free-world's greatest country, we would simply join the league of ordinary nations, and clearly, one only needs to listen and see that the rest of the world can't handle it (see France, see Canada and it's national healthcare debacle, see India and Pakistan, see N/S Korea, see Iran, etc...).
Is this simple enough for you, Rahm? While the US has serious flaws that needed to be addressed, and that need continues as it always will- no country, like no individual, is perfect- like many around the world I agree that the US committed suicide last November 4th, and I don't believe that's hyperbolic in any way. Obama's shameful blaming (I admit he's clever, but ultimately shameful) of the current economic crisis on the Bush years is an embarrassment to every thinking person. I guess we have to then paint the democratic party's hands with blood of 3,000 Americans killed on 9/11 due to Bush inheriting 8 years of Clinton's failures to address terrorism (the planning of that took place ALL during the CLINTON administration). Neither assessment is accurate, of course. Our current struggles are a joint effort by both democrats and republicans who ignored the unchecked greed of Wall Street and the banks, and any attempt to say otherwise is simply: WRONG. Not a matter of opinion, just WRONG.
Lastly, on the concept that Americans voted for change last November 4th. Every time a kool-aid drinking liberal left democrat goes over this "talking point", I want to point out that regardless of the "BCS" -style electoral college embarrassment, 49 MILLION- yeah, that's right- MILLION people VOTED FOR SOMEONE ELSE. And without having a window to look into another person's soul, I would suggest that at least a reasonable faction of Obama's supporters join those 48 million in the idea that while the American people as a group would agree that change was needed, wholesale remaking of the fundamental principles of the United States is NOT, in ANY way, that for which the voted.

Emanuel and Limbaugh are two sides of the same coin of radicalism. Neither one of them espouses middle-of-the-road policies. I say get rid of both of them. When Emanuel says he is reaching out, I don't believe him because he doesn't have a track record of doing so. Limbaugh, on the other hand, would refuse to reach out in any and all cases because he is basically marketing his radio program and is not interested in serious policy discussion. Why do Rush Limbaugh and the Republican Party hate America?

Two prong attack:

Hit on Limbaugh, who btw, continues to be misquoted with none of the "journalists, news people" correcting those who misquoted.

Split the republicans into two camps: moderate conservatives led by Eric Cantor-R Virginia and Newt Gingrich and Limbaugh's group of straight line republican conservatives.

One group wants a more moderate approach to gay marriage, abortion, etc. while the other group wants to stay with gay marriage, abortion.

The republicans need to forget those issues and focus on fiscal restraint, personal freedoms and less government intervention. That is what will garner votes.

The democratic plan: split the republicans, who now have a growing group of discontented Americans looking in their direction.

If Rahm and his ilk can foster mayhem, disruption WITHIN the republican party then the democrats have a better chance of reclaiming the White House and seats in the congress. And this is Obama who BEGAN the process by calling out Limbaugh at a White House press conference. It's the democratic PLAN.

Emanuel,the priouetting shrimp, is a boy-child. He never has grown up. His aggressive demeanor is to disguise his inadequacies.

Rahm made $18,000,000 after leaving the Clinton administration. He is so "crafty" that he doesn't even pay rent for the basement he lives in at the home of his friend, a democratic pollster.

Emanuel espouses service to this country. Has he served the US? NO, he ran off to Israel and served in their army, not the US army.

Emanuel's loyalty is not to the US, but to another country.

If one just took the time to read Rahm's book: THE PLAN one would see where "Obama's ideas came from.

Industrial production is plunging, and partly due to CONservative corporations fleeing the USA to build factories where they can pollute unrestrained. These corporations under a common sense government should never be allowed to do business in or with the United States ever again! The current lame efforts diluted by the GOP have only allowed pollution to increase. The answer to industrial production and corporations is clean up your act, here and abroad, to continue doing business in the United States.

Liberal Democrats that have a grain of intellect may want to stop stereotyping the Republican Party as mindless lemmings. The winds of change are upon us, and many people are not happy with the way this Administration is handling the economic crisis. Common sense can be a pretty tough to argue against...and many people feel that Rush's observations are pretty sensible. Get it?

But the Democrats are already failing this country. They criticized Bush for spending $785 Billion, and so what do they do? They spend $1.5 trillion in 2 weeks!!! They are putting our country in debt, the dow is lower than it ever was under Bush, they have a stimulus package that will not stimulate anything, they are hiking taxes, they are upping our gas tax, and they have a housing plan which lenders have said over and over again that they don't want and won't use. This is a disaster of a party and they are killing America.

Rahm v. Limbaugh-only the former is actively pushing policies, right now, that are destroying our economy. the stock market is voting as we speak-I don't think Rahm and Obama are doing so well in the tally.

Rush Limbaugh is just a fat, balding, drug abusing, racist, hypocrite. Time and time again he spews his venomous holier than thou attitude over the airways and afterwards we learn just how WEAK this man really is. I cannot stand this guy.

I'm not sure how people can blame the current state of things on the President when he inherited it from the Republican party. President Obama isn't to blame for the current state of the economy, former President Bush IS. I think the reason why the Democrats are focused on Rush is not because they are scared of him, it is because they want to have him as the voice of the Republic Party. The question to all of us is do we want Barack Obama to succeed at removing capitalism and individual liberty as the foundation of our country?

Without taking a stance for or against the Emanuel, Obama or Limbaugh, the statement and the question it begs is reduced to that. As Limbaugh stated his point..in it's entirety, do we want success removing capitalism and indiviudal liberty as the foundation of our country??

Regardless of who initiates those actions, and whether or not that is Obamas intent is really not part of the argument here.

My answer would be as follows: If President Obama does not have those goals to eliminate caplitalism and individual freedom as the foundation of this country then I of course support him and wish him god speed in his journey and struggle to get this country on track.

I'm all for capitalism, but not at the expense of my fellow men & women. I can't help laughing at the comments of those claiming capitalism will come to an end because of President Obama's leadership & ideas. President Obama did not get American into the mess it's in, GREED did. To those who say "let the banks, auto-makers..." fail or succeed as they will, be human for just a minute. The decisions made were done so by a select few, while the impact of those decisions affected millions of people. At this moment in time, those decisions have rendered a tremendous negative impact on our society (America & the world). I'm just as upset as any other fellow American about bailing out banks & other companies because of GREEDY decisions. I only support the bailout & stimulus packages because I care about the millions of others who had no say in the decisions that brought us to where we are today. Provide just ONE link or statement that supports that. "I believe" doesn't count. I believe most Americans wanted an explanation of why we went their in the first place (other than cherry-picked evidence and lies) and also what exactly would be the definition of victory.

Dan, maybe if you hadn't been sleeping under a rock for the past 8 years, you'd have more 'confidence'. Nice rant, but stop feeling entitled to having "honest" officials just magically spring up to serve your confidence level. I believe the saying is Put Up Or Shut Up.

The strength of the media (personality) is the freedom to say whatever you want without offending your viewing/listening audience. Presidents, like media types, will always have detractors and those who disagree with their positions.

What bothers me is the amount of attention given by our current presidential administration over this particular media front-man. Their response is childish and further promotes the "us vs. them" mentality which continues to divide us as a nation.

In recent years the Republicans have become a radical right party of extremists, in no small part, due to the angry rhetoric spouted by their media stars, Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, etc.

These media creatures don't hold elective office, so they are free to say outrageous things that Republican politicians can't say. Limbaugh's latest statement that he wants Obama to fail for purely political reasons, really means that he wants Americans to continue to suffer in this failing economy so that Republicans have a shot at getting elected in the future. And he has instructed Republicans to not work with Obama.

That effectively takes Republican input out of the equation and makes them the party of 'NO,' as in NO we will not work with Democrats for the good of the American people and NO we don't want things to improve with Democrats in power.

The Obama administration has effectively rope-a-doped Limbaugh and the Republicans. He extends the olive-branch to them offering them the opportunity to be a part of the process and Limbaugh tells his followers not to participate! Limbaugh's strategy will just disenfranchise more voters in the future.

Limbaugh should be locked up for treason, inciting people against the president, publicly hoping for the downfall of the United States of America, because if you wish for the President of the United States to fail, you are wishing for all Americans and America to fail. The President respresents the United States and all Americans, How can any people follow someone who wishes for our country to fail? The Democrats have already failed the United States. Democrats Chris Dodd and Barney Frank destroyed the mortgage industry which destroyed the economy. And now they are supposed to save it!?! Thank you, Democrats, destroying our economy!

I do not want his plan to work. That would mean that the America we know will become Hati, Cuba, Venezula, France, Russia, all rolled up in one. Who gives a flying crap about what the democrats think. The independents are waking up to this fraud and that's who we need. I suspect that the fiscally conservative democrats have just about had it too, but are hanging on to the HOPE because the change ain't working out so well. If Obama succeeds, that's all we will have is change.

I am astonished at the lack of (once again) poor reporting of the truth of what Rush really said by the "drive by media." He said he wanted his policies to fail because if they fail then the country succeeds. I was a life long Democrat. I have become a conservative due to the lack of truth coming from the "drive by media."

The stock market's response is a natural showing of disappointment that the present administration wants to put an end to usury.
America's greatest times have been when regulations kept the greedy from using other people's money as a weapon.
Hard as I worked in a high-tech job, my reward has only been to watch my income fall behind as the status quo devalued hard work and dedication while rewarding foolish speculation.

It is laughable that Obama and his minions are worried this much about what a talk show host says. Obama swore an oath to protect the Constitution, and that includes the provisions that he may not agree with, such as the first amendment. If they're getting this worked up, maybe the media should start asking why. Maybe the media should actually start doing its job, rather than investigating why Coke is the preferred beverage in the White House (CNN) or how to get toned arms like Michelle's (Time).

I don't recall any Democrat SAYING they wanted us to fail (quote, unquote) in Iraq, but perhaps you have evidence to the contrary. Whatever people "wished" for in Iraq, if anyone put their "wishes" into words and if it wasn't what the President said we were going to do, then the Republicans were pretty quick to label them terrorist-lovers and traitors. Not that they were necessarily right, but if it's treason in one instance to disagree with the President, then isn't it still treason? Or if it isn't treason now, isn't it possible that people disagreeing with Bush over Iraq were actually patriots?

He's not the CHAIRMAN of the Republican Party. That's Michael Steele. If being Chairman makes him the HEAD of the Party, then Steele's that, too. As for LEADER, well perhaps you guys are so used to Bush as a "Leader" that you don't remember what a "Leader" does. Whatever title he has, a "Leader" sets a standard of actions, attitudes and expectations that others follow of their own choice. So far, Republicans SEEM TO BE following Limbaugh more than they do Steele. Maybe that will change, maybe it won't. I'd say that for the time being and speaking relatively to Steele, though, Limbaugh is, indeed, the leader of the Republican party. Well, is Limbaugh still able to say what he wants? I believe he is. Has he been taken off the air? Doesn't look like that's the case. I'm not seeing any instance of Democrats stopping Limbaugh from saying ANYTHING. If we're trying to stifle public dissent, then we are indeed VERY amateur at it ("amateur" in a sense of "not very good," which actually isn't a definition of the word) because we're doing a really crappy job at stifling anything. Limbaugh doesn't even look scared of us (although that might be a side-effect of the drugs he takes). Now, if I'm reading things accurately, it seems to be the case that Republican officials -- Congresspersons, Senators, pundits, and anyone else who speaks out "publicly" -- tend to be pretty afraid of LIMBAUGH, because if they don't say or do the things he thinks they ought to, he'll call 'em out on his show, and that affects their voter base (to the extent people actually LISTEN to Limbaugh, and in the case of Republicans, that looks like a pretty significant audience). If anybody's being good at stifling dissent, it seems to me that person is Limbaugh. Looks like he took his lesson from the Reagan Republicans (or they took theirs from him) because ever since Reagan was in office, Republicans have been very loath to disagree publicly with Party platforms, whether by their choice or by the Party's I can't tell. as long as you keep injecting money into the economy--via, perhaps, your boating interest--it's not quite a failure. as a soon-to-be-graduating college student with some huge loan debts, i envy your ability to drop out of the workforce, but (with the admission that i don't know what your occupation is) who says there won't be somebody right behind you--ie, somebody currently unemployed and looking for work--to jump on your job (and who would be happy to pay the taxes as long as its gainful employment) when you leave? just because some people seem willing to quit their jobs to avoid taxes, doesn't mean there aren't millions of others out there willing to fill that employment vacancy.

No one seems to notice that in his two months in office Obama has already set forth a plan to double our deficit. While that may be needed, it certainly should be up for opposition.

What will it take for this country rally together... really? If there were one minute of honest, non-partisan thought and planning done for every hour spent griping and sniping online, we might have some plans that the entire country might be able to come to terms with.

While there is no way that we can imply that our current economic situation was created in the last two months, there is also no way we can imply it has occurred only in the last two terms... Blame should not be our focus. Our focus should be on working together to find the root causes and the appropriate solution(s).

I always thought that the big winner in 2008 was Limbaugh. After all, he became famous fighting the Clinton administration. I'm sure the last 8 years were rough, having to defend Bush all the time. I can't imagine him trying to defend McCain. Obama's election puts him right where he is at his best; on the opposition. What I can't understand is why anyone in the Obama administration would want to engage him. All Rahm Emanuel is doing is helping Limbaugh get higher ratings. Rush is an entertainer, he thrives on this kind of stuff. In spite of the fact that the majority of the entertainment world despised Bush, he never wasted time with them. Why should he help Keith Olberman get good ratings?

What is so hilarious to me is that so many Republicans still fear socialism. Good god, you think the Cold War was still on. Get over it already!! It's illustrative of the motivations of the Leftists and the inattentiveness of others that they attempt to characterize Rush's statement as pertaing to Obama failing in general, when he was very specific in it being Obama's effort and intent to institute Socialism in America that he wanted Obama to fail at.
The arrogance of the Leftist elitists is exemplified in their assumption that the general populace is stupid, but it's intelligent analysis which prompts so many to oppose Obama's grand plan of "change". However slowly, more and more people are becoming aware that Obama's stimulus package will do very little if anything to help common people, and that his plans for "change" involve HUGE government.

The Democrats "wanted the war in Iraq to fail"? I'm pretty sure that "not wanting to go to a war" and "wanting to fail at a war" are two completely different things. That's like accusing a parent of wanting his child to be bitten by a snake simply because he warned the child not to disturb it. If the kid disturbs it anyway, it doesn't follow that the parent must then WANT the child to be bitten.

He is eating surf and turf while the people who listen to him eat fish and chips from Long John Silvers. So if Obama fails and the economy worsens, rush still makes his 30+ million a year. Obama Plugs the leaks and repair the sinking ship Rush gets a tax increase. I am really hoping people see why rush wants Obama to fail. Now let’s throw in another curve ball. If rush is the Messiah!!! Then why doesn’t he run for office? Is he afraid of loosing? I think not. Is he worried that people might realize he is blowing hot air? Not that either, rush already knows that we know. Or maybe because he is too worried about HIMSELF and HIS pocket!!! Winner Winner, chicken dinner… rush will tell you himself, he’s said it countless times on his show, “I WONT TAKE THE PAY CUT”. Let that one sink in. The person that so many people are defending is not willing to go to bat for them. He won’t take the pay cut to help out his country. He has so much to say about what’s wrong with OUR country, but no pride to make the changes himself. rush limbaugh is no different from the CEO’s on wall street, in putting themselves before their country.

oooh how dramatic! I am not targeting anyone...in fact, I am saying that nobody should be held out as owing more than others- rich or poor, we should all contribute equally.

Wealth destruction and redistribution is not only unconstitutional- but it is really bad business. Ironically enough- Obamanomics will disproportionally hurt lower income groups when the reality of increased day to day living costs explode as a result of this nonsense. BTW please keep the race baiting issues to yourself-

Whether he is wrong or right is not the point- the point is that the current president is making a bad situation worse.

"Bush was worse" does not apply anymore...at least for this current issue.

Woody- didn't mean to be so curt in my last post- had this handy... from the heritage foundation so I am sure it will be rejected out of hand- but a number of the articles assumptions show that you can't just look at % deficit to GDP ( as C. Morris did) his chart ignores rapidly increased amounts of spending and more ominously the ballon pmts on unfunded entitlement programs that are coming our way...
Tax cuts work-as far as stimulating growth in the economy.. but you can't keep spending like we have been.

The C. Mo post didn't say "Bush was worse", as you characterize it, but rather that the current situation is a direct result of Reagan/Bush voo-doo economics. You can't say that Obama is making it worse, because the jury is still out. The AIG mess, the CDO mess, the credit freeze are all tanking the markets, and they all happened under Bush.You've got, by some estimates, $600+ trillion in toxic assets out there, nearly all from the Bush years, and Obama is supposed to fix it in a month? And the Heritage Foundation? Please!, those are the idiots that thought we could create a "beacon for democracy" in the Middle East and encouraged Jr. to invade the wrong country. They're also the ones perpetuating the myth that the government "coerced" the country's banks into making bad loans.

I just can not believe these republican's comments... Do they know that they sound like a group of idiots with the statements they are making..

Some were our school systems are failing in their ability to teach the history , our constitution , bill of rights and laws to these people..

When Bush /Cheney and the republicans come out in public and make the statement that the constitution is nothing but a G.D. piece of paper and they can do as they please.

That they could run this country fine if it was a dictatorship and Bush was the dictator.

Bush stating that the enemy is finding new and better ways of destroying us and So Are We. And bush did this in just 6 years.

For anyone to support and try to defend these people and their actions just shows where in the h.. they stand when it comes to our country..
