With Democrats pushing a progressive agenda on the Hill and their own party in disarray under the erratic RNC chief Michael Steele, some in the GOP appear to be seeking a cozy cocoon in the latest craze to hit the Infomercial world: the Snuggie.
"Joe the Plumber,'' small-government champion Grover Norquist and cable-babble talking head Tucker Carlson all have donned the blanket-cum-cult attire for Americans for Tax Reform's Derek Hunter, who purchased the wearable blanket after having "a bit too much to drink."
Now that Hunter has photographed about 100 people -- Look, you can see their arms! -- his next challenge is trying to sweet-talk President Barack Obama into the garment.
"I think it's doable," he joked.

Is it a toga?
Or a security blanket?
Or a Replican fashion accessory that makes concealed-carry easier?
Or just an outward manifestation of the grey, amorphous blob that is Replican ideology?
Perhaps they should be labeled "spent too much, borrowed too much, drank too much"?
