Wow, the prestigious Arizona State University won't bestow an honorary degree to the President. Considering he already has degrees from Columbia and Harvard I don't think he's going to miss it too much. After all, it is ASU - who's most famous alum is probably Courtney Simpson.

I'm surprised that Obama would even consider giving a speech at that school. I know of junior colleges that have more rigorous academic standards than ASU.

Bruce---During the campaign, one of Harvard's most prestigious law professors said that Obama had been the most brilliant student he ever had. He also said that with his brilliance and his being President of the Harvard Law Review that he could have had any job in the country/world that he wanted and the instructor felt awe that Obama had chosen to go back to Chicago to help the people instead of becoming rich. I suppose that even Presidents like their privacy, but it isn't because the man isn't smart enough that he hasn't released his grades to you.

They would ask, "How many people are in the House" for example. The IVY LEAGUE schools performed the poorest of them all.
