Bob Schieffer told a tale today of President Barack Obama telling a little tail on himself.
At the White House on Friday, said Schieffer, leaving it to others to evaluate Obama's First 100 Days, the president was toting a copy of the The New Yorker magazine with a cover filled by the big green of the North Lawn (but where's the fountain?) and the little Portuguese water dog now living there. "I'm taking this to show the girls," Obama said of the magazine's depiction of "Bo,'' the first dog. "See, it really looks like it."
Obama also has quickly learned that "when you hang out with celebrities, people don't always notice you're there.,'' CBS News' Schieffer said on Face the Nation today.
"He told this story on himself: Late one evening he was walking the dog and some White House visitors with small children saw him....
"'Look,' said one of the kids, "it's Bo!"'

The federal government declares a "health emergency" because of the swine flu that could be devastating to America and Obama decides that spending the day on the golf course is more important....Gee!...just imagine if GWB was that insensitive to the children and the elderly in this country. Once again lib's...I got you on this one...and there is no defense for playing golf when America is being threatened!!! So please...don't even try to defend your Messiah!!

I’m no fan of Barack Obama either, Joe, but what is he supposed to do just because there is a swine flu epidemic? A president is supposed to delegate tasks like this to his responsible subordinates. That is why the Department of Health and Human Services and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention exist. If he is assured that the task is already well in hand, what more is there for him to do, and why is it wrong for him to play some golf?
.
Oh, and Joe, it’s not a good idea to get caught in the silly rhetoric of pseudo-liberals. The fact they used every occasion as a pretext to criticize Bush is no reason to do the same to Obama. I’ll save my criticism for when Obama and his congressional vermin really do something screwed up. Saving criticism for occasions when criticism is due keeps one credible. There are enough such occasions to occupy my time and yours.

John W...you're right! I'll try to refrain, but it's difficult...these people need a dose of their own medicine once and a while!

If Joe "refrains" I will be shocked; thanks John W.

Don’t thank me, Flo. There are plenty of areas of dispute on the horizon. BO’s golf game and golf schedule are minor by comparison. Y’all will have your hands full yet.

The president spent time being briefed on the flu situation before his golf game. Is there more you think he can do?
There's also the off chance that he might think about things while on the course.
