Homecoming in Dallas:
Former President George W. Bush, "getting a new cadence to his life,'' a longtime aide says, will play host to some of his former advisers next week - all but former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Bush, the New York Times' Peer Baker notes, is staking out new territory. "He has started giving speeches, joined an off-road bicycle club, thrown out the first pitch at the Texas Rangers' home opener and scheduled a trip to China to speak at an economic forum.''
"Not coming to next week's session is (Cheney), who in the final days of the administration argued with Bush about his failure to pardon Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby Jr., who was convicted of perjury and other counts for his role in the leak of Valerie Wilson's employment with the CIA,'' Baker notes.
"Cheney later went on television to air his grievances with Bush, while also accusing Obama of endangering the country,'' Baker adds.
"He thinks President Obama deserves his silence," Dan Bartlett, a longtime adviser and fomer counselor to the president, tells Baker. "He's not going to be out there opining, second-guessing or flyspecking Obama's decisions."
Besides, Bush is moving on.

"I have never seen more Senators express discontent with their jobs....I think the major cause is
that, deep down in our hearts, we have been accomplices in doing something terrible and
unforgiveable to our wonderful country. Deep down in our heart, we know that we have given our children a legacy of bankruptcy. We have defrauded our country to get ourselves elected."

He's a class act..just like his father! Perhaps Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton could learn a little something from the former GREAT president George W. Bush

I'm sure glad Bush is having fun, cause the rest of us are paying for his dumb policies and worse management.
How's *your* 401K?

The new cadence: Going from being on vacation 40% of the time as president to 100% of the time as former president.

Bubba, regarding vacations, how many days has Obama spent in the White House? every weekend is at Camp David. Barely one month into office he spent a long weekend here. Spring break was on vacation too. Has Obama even slept in the White House yet?

Danforth was right when he said it; and the fraud and debasement of our country and children continue.

Why isn't he retiring to his ranch in Crawford, TX? Oh, that's right ... now that he's no longer president he no longer needs that prop for his image.
Not that he really ever cared what regular people thought of him - he's always been a rich little snotty kid living off daddy's fame and helpers.

John D. - Obama spent all last week in Washington DC. Where were you?? Spring break is a vacation for lots of folks. Remember your hero Bush #43 spent nearly 500 days on vacation at his daddy's ranch in Crawford, TX. We all know now that Crawford was nothing but a backdrop for a photo op.
