Okay, we've had the better part of a week now to weigh in on whether Michelle Obama has risen to the expectations of the Michelle O. versus Jackie O. debate.
Has the first lady of the United States, whose favorability ratings have narrowly eclipsed those for her husband, the president, established herself on the international stage as the 21st Century answer to Camelot?
Was the royal hug at Buckingham Palace enough to cement her credentials as an untouchable leader in the ring of world leaders' spouses?
Was the Michelle Obama-Carla Bruni 'fashion smackdown' more than it was cut out to be, or simply a Jason Wu advertisement?
It's going to be a long weekend in Strasbourg and Prague for the Obamas, moving from the NATO summit in Strasbourg to the European Union summit in Prague. So there may net be more opportunities -- say, on the red carpet at Prague Castle -- to test the image of the world's newest and highest-profile first lady.
Drop us a line.

Michelle and Barack have done some great PR work for America over in London this past week. It sure is nice to be respected by the rest of the world again and it's hard to believe that less than three months ago we were still being represented by this Republicon clown on the world stage.

After eight years of the fake cowboy from Texas, it's sure is nice to have a real President (Obama) again.
"According to sources inside the room, President Obama played peacemaker in a spat between French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China."
"In the finaly plenary session among the G-20 leaders, Sarkozy and Hu were having a heated disagreement about tax havens."

President Obama's attention to detail is amazing. He is the one paying attention to the small countries as well as the large, making global warming remediation a part of the deals and getting two or three parties to find common points of agreement:

What kinda of crap writing is this? It reads like the Pravda.

It is so obvious that this is slanted reporting.

Teresa,
Considering that you get most of your info from that Repuglican bubble world over at Fixed News Channel and Druggy Rush....it's not surprising that you would be afraid of real reporting and real news.

Michelle cannot even be compared to Jackie. Jackie was a beautiful, intelligent and classy woman.

Dorei, has it ever occured to you that that is just what you think?

Notice how the Obamafiends immediately distract with Limbaugh, that's to get you off topic. A Rhan Emanuel tactic learn under the tutelege of Saul.
Jackie O had a classic look. She could step out of a photo today and not look out of date.
In a decade, Blackie O will look dated. She does not wear classic clothes. In the future, people will look at photos of O and know exactly what decade it was taken due to her clothing choice.
The comparisons are poor. Maybe O is the Jackie O for her race.
And it is a race. A race to the next presidential election. Hurry up 2012.
Are your knees red from bowing down, Tribune?

How many women do you see running around with pillbox hats on these days other than the queen? All fashion is dateable.

Who were those two guys seen with Michelle and Carla this week?

Michelle is no Jackie O. Get real.
The media seem to think they can elevate Michelle if they compare her to Jackie.
In the last few decades the women on the world stage who had impeccable style were Jackie O, Princess Grace, Princess Diana, and currently, the First Lady of France, Carla Bruni.
I like Michelle, but she is not on that level. Her clothes look inappropriate and awkward (London) or plain old ugly (the inauguration, Prague).
And why is she wearing so much black in the Spring? She looks like she's going to a funeral.
She needs to hire somebody who knows how to choose classic clothes that don't say look at me, I have a big bow on my chest like a penguin.
