It took the United Nations Security Council a little over a week to condemn North Korea's launch of a missile and agree to increase sanctions against Pyonyang, but the White says it's "pleased with what we got.''
And now that North Korea reportedly is evicting international inspectors and planning to reactivate its enrichment of nuclear material, in retaliation for the U.N. action on that rocket which Pyongyang says was hoisting a satellite into space, the Obama administration is calling on North Korea to "cease its provocative threats.''
Robert Gibbs, White House press secretary, today called Pyongyang's pledge to restart its nuclear reactor and boycott international disarmament talks "a serious step in the wrong direction."
"We call on North Korea to cease its provocative threats, to respect the will of the international community, and to honor its international commitments and obligations," President Barack Obama's spokesman said at today's press briefing.
The International Atomic Energy Agency reports thatNorth Korea is expelling its inspectors and has told the U.N. watchdog that it is reactivating all of its nuclear facilities. North Korea is retaliating for the U.N. Security Council's condemnation Monday of North Korea's rocket launch a week ago Sunday. The council demanded an end to missile tests and said it will expand its sanctions against North Korea.
"We're pleased with what we got," Gibbs said today, while yet another new round of provocations and warnings was underway.

I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing the "patriotic" mouthbreathers from the right-wing lunatic fringe calling President Obama a "pantywaist"...again, over this N Korea thing. Of course, Bush Jr would have invaded the wrong country by now.
"Before Sunday's remarkable success story on the high seas off the coast of Somalia, right-wing blowhards were calling Obama "President Pantywaist".
One of these right-wing blogs had the following classic line:
.
"Navy SEALs are certainly no pantywaists, but unfortunately their commander-in-chief is."

Why is our president and the UN forced to even speak this way?
I'm so confused. We were promised that if we elected Barack Obama that all these problems would melt away. Yet NK is testing nukes, Iran is planning the same. Pirates are kidnapping Americans.......
When do we get to the sunshine & lollipops part?

Hey Borat, I asked a simple question. If you want to answer it, take your best shot. But don't put words in my mouth.

Hey Borat are you pleased too? Stop calling people names and explain BHO's policy toward NK. What UN actions do you think the USA should ask for next?

Hey Buskwacker,
Maybe you should mail some teabags to the N Korean's - That'd show them!

Now, Kathy, please show us where anyone claimed what you say about Obama. Show us where anyone promised that he would solve all world problems in his first 3 months in office. We might take your question seriously when you do.

North Korea has got to be kidding! They know that we've had nukes since the end of the world war #2. Now they are going to wipe us off the map? I don’t think that they are that ignorant—Do you?
I believe this is a setup scare tactic by both countries. Here’s why!
18 years ago I pulled information off of an official government site that told about our governments plans for a one world government. (A global economy) Put 7277 onto your browser I didn't believe it then. I do now! Four pages, that were, in my opinion, an act of treason have since been deleted. I made, and have copies.
On the third page it read that there may be problems getting us to go along with their plan that would cause us to lose our severity.
This plan was written by Lincoln P. Bloomfield (CFR). Bloomfield stated in his memo that they could expect resistance that might need to be dealt with by the "Grave crisis of war" OR a series of sudden, nasty and traumatic shocks. I believe that the present threat fits the situation with N. Korea to a tee.
I find myself asking, Are we being led down the “Garden Path"? What say you?
