The Venezuelan embassy was quick, over the weekend, to note that American President Barack Obama had extended a hand to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
And Venezuelan television notes a word that Obama reportedly used for Chavez:
"Amigo.''
Exchanges such as these, much like the verbal assaults that Chavez launched at Obama's predecessor -- "el diablo'' -- are generally tailored for home consumption by politicians who know that pictures are worth 1,000 words.
And one word, "amigo," can be priceless.

So our President offers the other cheek? and a gets a book describing a Bad America instead of a slap in the face this time?
Why didn't Chavez call him ignorant to his face?
Oh, there's something akin to phoney Hollywood love stories in every country for the purpose of fooling the public, I guess.

Obama calls Chavez "Amigo" and his
Gestapo wanna-be Napolitano calls returning military veterans possible terrorists. Bobama's new dad seems to have a hard time discerning who America's enemies truly are.
