Biden's bunker? Undisclosed guest room

The underlying story here is that the massive construction project was tunneling from the CP residence to the new Russian (then USSR) embassy for purposes of spying. One Congressman who objected publicly to the unusually high electrical bill for the VP residence was hushed up immediately. The project was subsequently exposed and shut down. Some have said it did not work anyway. It would make sense to convert the work to a secure bunker and so what? Everybody knows there is one under the White House as well.

To suggest that this was some kind of national secret is absurd. The N.O. is in a heavily resedential area located off of a busy street. It was no secret-especially when the former VP started disappearing into a secret undisclosed location which soon became known as the "bunker." No national secrets here.

Pelosi has called for a truth commision. I've yet to hear any of the Repuglicans call for any sort of torture/war crimes investigation and they won't because they know that 75% of the Repuglican party will be implicated in an all out investigation. What the Vice President described in his comments was not - as some press reports have suggested - an underground facility, but rather, an upstairs workspace in the residence, which he understood was frequently used by Vice President Cheney and his aides. That workspace was converted into an upstairs guestroom when the Bidens moved into the residence.

Too funny that the Tribune won't report on this until 1 or 2 days after this news broke.

Even funnier that some right-wingnuts actually think that this would still be a "secret" bunker after 8 years.

It was undoubtedly stupid of Biden to reveal the location, if it was in fact what it was, but what is equally stupid is that the media reported where the location was. I'm not saying there should be censorship here, but what purpose does reporting on the location of the VP's safety bunker? All that does is possibly harm the country, and the reporting gives the people no benefit. How about thinking before writing something

A bunker under the NO is not new news people. Biden is fine. The left will continue the manufactured complaints about Joe "shooting his mouth off" because Joe is a strength for the inexperienced Obama. I would not feel safe having Obama as president without Biden as VP. Joe appears to be a truth teller. Obama sounds as though he skirts the issues and renegs on campaign promises.
