That growing guest-list of celebrities getting ready to walk the carpet at the White House Correspondents Association dinner on Saturday has an international flavor to it:
The British Broadcasting Corporation says its Washington correspondents will be showing up at the Washington Hilton with Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and president of Sony Corp., Kristi Yamaguchi, figure skating champion and winner of last season's Dancing With The Stars, Ellen Burstyn, the Oscar-winning actress, and Phil Gordon, assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
They will join senior BBC executives and "highly acclaimed journalists" including BBC World News America anchor Matt Frei, Washington Correspondent Katty Kay and North America Editor Justin Webb, the BBC says.
They'll be lining up with Ben Affleck and Colin Powell (guests of CBS News), country singer Brad Paisley, guest of CBS; Bob Schieffer, and Sarah and Todd Palin, guests of FOX News.
