Mike Huckabee was governor of Arkansas.
Mike Huckabee has his own TV show.
And Mike Huckabee plays bass.
All of which is by way of explaining why Kris Allen, the hometown crooner from Arkansas and winner of American Idol 2009, will appear on stage Saturday with Huckabee, who also happened to run for president last year, as a Republican former governor of Arkansas and Baptist preacher.
The two will appear performing on Saturday's Huckabee, on FOX News Channel, at 8 pm EDT. (See photo above, courtesy of FOX News.)
If Scotland's Susan Boyle wins Britain's Got Talent on Saturday, maybe Huckabee will be able to book her the following week.
With a selection from Cats or Les Miserables.

Comments
Huckabee is the rightwing knuckle-dragger who called Sonia Sotomayor - "Maria".
What a loser!

After Ted "Draft-dodger" Nugent, the closest thing conservatives have to a musician is Mike 'Hard Rock' Huckabee...and these guys.

This is a truly sad moment and one which will be replayed by Huckabee's 2012 GOP rivals...

"Huckabee" is already far and away the top rated weekend show across all of cable news...his ratings will go through the roof on Saturday!!

What a thrill. Maybe he should get 'the shrill druggie' Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin, who can talk for 10 minutes without saying anything on stage. Leave it to Fox, what a joke. What is the name of the joint Billy-Bobs!! whiteagle38

Why is this being derided? So Kris Allen will be on Huckabee's show and Huckabee can play the bass guitar?!?!? That gets the usual Loony Left treatment? Oh, and Civil War Guy, there are other Republican rockers. Joey Ramone, for one. Ted Nugent as already noted. Kid Rock, though that is sort of an embarrassment. But then Democrats have plenty of embarrassments.

Just for your information: Joey Ramone died in 2001. Besides, he wasn't a Republican. You were probably thinking of Johnny Ramone. Unfortunately, he's already dead too. (He died of prostate cancer in 2004.) BTW - Dee Dee Ramone (“1-2-3-4!”) is dead too. He died of a heroin overdose (in case you were wondering).

Mike Huckabee is a complete moron. I can't see how anyone fails to see through this hillbilly huckster and con man. First he used religion as his pulpit, then guillable people of Arkansas voted for him (so he could put weight on kids report cards to create an untold number of eating disorders.) That goodness he didn't win the primary and is on Fox where he belongs, a freak show for those who can't think for themselves.

Sherie Sanders-your comment is mean spirited and not part of the America that I grew up with. I truly appreciate Mike Huckabee for bringing back the true goodness of the wonderful USA that this country once was.

No wonder Fox is number one for cable news. The addition of Mike Huckabee has further enhanced its standings. His show is the best thing on all of TV, cable or otherwise. Keep it coming. Just for the record, although I despise labels, most others would consider me a political moderate with basic conservative values and a distrust of all extremists..
