Life is like a box of chocolates.
Since the day that the Scottish singing sensation, Susan Boyle, floored the talent-show judges with her soaring number from Les Miserables, millions of people around the world have logged on to see a songbird in pigeon's feathers.
Yet the one who won the hearts of millions lost the home-telephone poll of the viewers of Britain's Got Talent tonight. Finishing second place isn't really losing, but then again it is. Because the winners walked away with cash and a date with the queen.
The 48-year-old Internet sensation placed behind a dance troupe called "Diversity" that will carry the $159,000 prize to the Royal Variety Show.
Yet, for all the British tabloid publicity surrounding the Scottish star's final frenetic days in the competition, she came out a champ tonight: "The best people won," Boyle said. "They're very entertaining,'' she said of Diversity. "Lads, I wish you all the best."
In her hometown of Blackburn, Scotland, friends and fans wore Boyle masks as they tuned in for the finals. Boyle belted it out, But Boyle also acknowledged that all of this had been quite stressful. In the end, she concluded that it had been "well worth it.''
It was.

Susan, by the time you're finished you'll be able to buy some of those smut tabloids that tried to tear you up.
I don't know what I admire most about you, your courage or your talent.
You're a winner!

What can you say?
These competitions are grueling. I can thoroughly understand how anyone can lose it during these types of things.
I wish her the very best. Even if that means going back to obscurity

Susan Boyle is the greatest singer to come into our lives in decades! On top of that, she is gracious, humble and kind. I wish her the best, and hope that she will be around for a long time to come with that beautiful voice, singing beautiful and inspiring music. May she find the happiness she deserves. Thanks Susan!

My ex-husband pointed out, when I said, "I love it when the 'under-dog' wins"--YOU are not an "under-dog you're an overcomer". You darling, are an OVERCOMER!!!! You showed everone that COURAGE overcomes all. I wish you the best--you are the best!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
