Here we go.
In the social-register's equivalent of water torture (enhanced technique), we've been dribbling out the names of some of the celeb-media guests expected at the White House Correspondents' dinner Saturday night -- Sarah and Todd Palin, guests of FOX News, Ben Afleck and Colin Powell, guests of CBS, Kristi Yamaguchi, guest of the BBC.
But now the White House Correspondents Insider, lnot to be confused with the White House Correspondents Association sponsoring the dinner, has rolled out a comprehensive preview of the entry-way carpet crew at the Washington Hilton.
(Hey look, isn't that Demi Moore? (photo by Evan Agostini / AP.) No, that's Janet Napolitano.)
Bloomberg News, always good for a lavish hospitality suite, will bring Alabama Maersk Capt. Richard Phillips and wife Andrea Phillips -- arrggggggh.
The Houston Chronicle, former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, as we noted earlier today, with credit to The Sleuth.
The Wall Street Journal crew had better check their cravats, because they are bringing designer Jason Wu, a favorite of the first lady.
Not to be outdone, CNN pulls Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Val Kilmer, Kyra Sedgwick, Brad Cooper, Tyra Banks and Homeland Security's Napolitano -- note which name is last.
ABC News pulls Obama adviser David and Susan Axelrod; Rahm Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff, Peter Orszag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Valerie Jarrett, senior presidential advisor, Leon Panetta, CIA Director; Susan Rice, UN Ambassador; Justice Antonin Scalia, Meghan McCain and , oh, Jon and Dorothea Bon Jovi.
The N.Y. Daily News has its own hero: US Airways pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger.
People magazine has a lot of People on its card: Sting and Trudie Styler, Miranda Cosgrove, Kevin Bacon, Forest Whitaker, Jon Hamm, Eva Longoria Parker, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Brooke Shields.
NBC News got actor Wlliam H. Macy and billionaire Warren Buffett, who declared recently that he would never buy a newspaper publishing company, not for any price. He didn't say anything about newspapers, however.

The continued extravagance to the wealthy.
The media is in the bag.
Who gives a hoot?
Americans have empty pockets and these nimrods are out partying, enlarging the carbon footprint and flipping their fingers at the populace.

I wanted to be there to see Wanda Sykes...she is sassy, smart and histerical. Looks like we'll get to see the whole thing on C-SPAN!
