Joe Scarborough was quick to pick up this morning on the fact that President Barack Obama suggested that the MSNBC Morning Joe host doesn't know when to stop talking.
Scarborough partner Mika Brezinski and the president have a lot in common, the president joked the other night at the Radio and TV Correspondents dinner.
They both have partners named Joe "who don't know when to stop talking.''
Obama had even taken note of Vice President Joe Biden's loquaciousness three years ago, when the then-senator from Illinois played stand-up comic at the Gridiron Club in Washington:
"Believe me, when you're the last guy to ask questions at every committee hearing, you have plenty of time to collect your thoughts,'' Obama said then. "Especially when Joe Biden's on the committee.''
So it appeared today, in that Rose Garden appearance for the signing of the tobacco regulation bill that Biden had gotten the message.
His lips were zipped.
No more talk of those problems flowing uphill.
It looked like he may have bitten his tongue. too.

Obama and the media need to lighten up on Joe. Joe is real. I can't stand Obama and other people who talk only politically correct BS. Way too rigid. I don't trust a robot. Where is the levity? Joe was right when he said the air in aircraft was full of germs if others are ill in that aircraft. The only one in DC that seems not infected with the Stepford Wives mutated gene is Joe Biden. He speaks like a human adult with his own mind. Its actually a bit comforting when the world is full of stress. Usually the people who are not sure of themselves are over protective of themselves while speaking. That is kind of embarrassing and lame. Loosen up Barry--the same goes for other politicians and the media. Thanks Joe Biden for being real and for not always feeding us centralized and scriptwriter-approved lines of BS.

What an historic day ! I am sure Vice-President Biden was celebrating silently !! He was probably remembering all those lying CEOs, who came before Congress, for, oh, so many years, claiming: Tobacco doesn't kill !! People do !!
I hope you have many more silent celebrations, in the the very near future, Vice-President Biden, when President Obama has more historic signings to perform, especially, Healthcare for Everyone !! !!
