House Republican Leader John Boehner, critical of what he calls a Democratic "spending binge'' on the economy, healthcare and energy, said today that all the president's promises of new jobs are empty.
The nation could lose millions of more jobs under the president's healthcare reform, the Ohio Republican says in the GOP's weekly radio and Internet address.
The Republicans have "a better alternative'' for healthcare, "without new taxes'' and without a "government takeover'' of healthcare, Boehner says.
Boehner also critcicizes "Nancy Pelosi's national energy tax,'' the one that narrowly cleared the House on Friday.
"We should be creating. American jobs, not destroying them,'' says Boehner, suggesting that nuclear energy and "clean coal'' will provide that.
He is calling on Democrats to abandon their "failed, go-it-alone approach,'' and listen to the Republican criticism and "common-sense'' alternatives.
See the address above.

"The Republicans have "a better alternative'' for healthcare"

They had 8 years to come up with a better alternative and they failed. Now they whine when someone has the guts to come up with a plan. Put a sock in it Boehner.

Did the Boner really call the Democrat's actions, "go it alone?!"
Obama and the Democrats were swept into office with a majority of the votes. Polls show that an overwhelming majority of Americans support the Democrats on the environment and healthcare reform. So where does he come up with "go it alone?"

Whiny Ohio Johnny Boner doesn't want us to spend taxpayer money on "the economy, healthcare and energy"; instead, he thinks we should spend hundreds of billions of dollars invading and occupying Middle Eastern countries.
What a meathead.

I hate to tell these people but if you are lucky enough to have insurance, you already have managed healthcare. Insurance companies have a list of treatments for each disease and will only pay for what is a industry standard. There is nothing like fighting an insurance company to pay for a treatment your doctor orders just because it is not on their standard protocol list for that diagnosis. It is devastating to have to worry about money when you or your loved one is battling a life threatening illness. Either fix it now or take all the profits out of the medical system. Maybe we need a little of both.

Stylus arguit hominem.
Did you ever hear that one, John?
OK, you didn't.
Anyway your vocabulary is interesting, particularly "binge".
You look like someone who is no stranger to a "binge".

Fresh out of the tanning booth, John Boner decides it's time to talk about the big issues. The very same big issues that the republican party ignored for 8 years. Way to wake up and smell the toast burning guys!!!!!

From Boehner's address:
" The president and Democrats in Congress claim this spending binge is necessary to put Americans back to work. They promised unemployment would not rise above 8 percent if their trillion-dollar stimulus was passed.
But our nation has lost nearly three million jobs this year. Unemployment has soared above 9 percent. And now the president admits that unemployment will soon reach double digits.
After all of this spending, after all of this borrowing from China, the Middle East, our children and our grandchildren, where are the jobs? ”Where are the jobs?”

For the bush Republicans, here is something to ingest, for you education and consideration !!

It is a serious way out of our healthcare crisis, with the help of decent Republicans, reasonable Independents and thinking Democrats !! Remember, every day that goes by, thousands of lives are in the balance, because of our broken healthcare system. We need every American's help, to fix this badly managed and badly discriminatory, healthcare system. Now is the time for all good Republicans, to come to the aid of America's citizens, who are in dire need of medical help, but who can't afford it !!.

Bush never had the votes that Obama & Co. has. Americans only seem to act when there is a crisis, otherwise, it is business as usual. Obama's plan is not a healthcare plan, it is a government boondoggle and healthcare rationing system. The TRILLIONS that Obama has so fecklessy tossed around... we are tying a millstone around the necks of children and grandchildren. The end of the Republic is in sighte.
