When veteran actor Roger Robinson accepted a Tony Award tonight for his peformance in the revival of August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone , he made a point of acknowledging the Broadway show's star ticket-buyer: President Barack Obama.
The president and his wife took in the show at the Belasco Theater on West 44th Street recently, in their "date night'' in New York.
All of which led the emcee of the Tony Awards show, Neil Patrick Harris, to suggest to those Broadway producers in the audience at Radio City Music Hall that they might consider a presidential theme for shows.
"Barack of Ages,'' he suggested.
Or "Night at the Oprah.''
Or "Obama Mia.''
Or maybe not..

Yikes!!! Had to turn this off at the opening number...Liza Minelli needs to have a heart to heart with someone who will tell her to retire already. But I did love her in the Teevee show Arrested Development!
