Nothing could make me believe Henry Gates side of the story more than having the Bloated Drug Addict from GOPer-land come out against him.

Perhaps the cop acted hastily. It also seems that Gates was rather belligerant to the cop. A neighbor thought there was a break-in and did the right thing. The police did their thing and answered the call. The cop did not know it was Gates' home nor that it was Gates he was speaking to. He asked for ID, which makes sense. Gates, it seems, got a little high on his horse. The cop did not like that. If it were I wouldn't have arrested the prof because it was his home. But, then, Gates should have been happy that his home was being protected.
The real story, though, is that Obumbles said HE DIDN'T KNOW THE FULL STORY OR HAVE ALL THE FACTS, yet was quick to call the cops stupid. That in itself is stupid and shows some sort of attitide by the jerk. And since 18 months ago, Michelle Obumbles, the alleged beauty queen, said she has never been proud of her country. The Obumbles family hate America. That is obvious. They hate the military, the police and all the good this country has done. That is why whenever he goes anywhere, Obumble "apologizes" for our alleged sins. Like I said, he's a jerk.

You have to love it when a fat, dangerously out-of-shape corporate prostitute (Boss Limbaugh), making 50 million dollars a year for being a right-wing racist and propagandist decides that white guys are being discriminated against.

The actions of the police in Cambridge, MS were curious at best and anyone with an iota of common sense will admit to this. Obama was correct in speaking out on the subject, even though it irritates the bigots among us, bigots such as Rush Limbaugh, whom I wish would

Rush's *mission* is to create strife and discord among Americans of all colors and religions, using fear as a tool to accomplish it. I seem to recall a little incident where Rush was caught bringing Viagra into the country (so much for Mr. Morality; why would an unmarried - thrice-divorced - man need Viagra?). He wasn't exactly a model citizen when that occurred. Perhaps if he had just returned home from a 15-hour plane ride, couldn't get into his house and the police showed up he might be a little cranky, too.

It is not surprising that responses from the party of inclusion and second chances all note Rush's past (and overcome) drug problem. If he were a Democrat, he'd have been hailed as a hero of his personal demons and whisked away to the House of Representatives. Who am I kidding...Democrat's alcoholics and pill pushers end up in the Senate or the White House.

The City of Cambridge issued a statement calling Gates' arrest on charges of disorderly conduct "regrettable and unfortunate."

Henry Gates may be well educated and respected, but all he did was regress to street punk and play the race card after he was legally (and rightfully) arrested for disorderly conduct. Does being educated mean that you are above the law? Then we have the moron President Obama claiming that the arrest was due to the stupidity of the police. Speaking from personal experience, when you verbally abuse a cop, you generally get a free ride downtown. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, green, purple, or a DQ swirl-cone with cherry dip. And despite what you would think, at the time things like these happen, "right" or "wrong" and nuanced thought on possible public opinion ramifications don't come into it....

It's also a Twilight-Zoney coincidence that the cop teaches a class in anti-racial profiling techniques.

So, anyway, back to the predictions:

Sgt. Crowley will be demonized by many and will be defended by many, and both camps will be doing so for the wrong reasons: they have their political axe to grind or their own racial bias to promote.

He will eventually retire to a small town and star in his own TV show, complete with his very own deputy sidekick and a whole slew of funny-townie characters, all of them white, but none of them racist.

Professor Gates will continue the talk-show rounds, the pictures with Al Sharpton and Spike Lee, and generally become a revered Black Culture Icon, kinda the anti-Bill Cosby.

He will write a best-selling book on the experiences of Black Males in America - no more "publish or perish" for this guy.

Our President, the esteemed 0-Man, who surprised many by jumping the traces of his Teleprompter and jamming both feet into his mouth (just like he puts his pants on), will have very little else to say. However his press secretary and other minions will be making multiple rounds of the bloviating talking-head shows, back-tracking, obfuscating, and generally trying to smoke screen the 0-Man's way out of a predicament he should never have been in; he comes out of this the worst, looking not-very-smart; blind-faith worshipful cult notwithstanding.

White women in Cambridge will still call the cops when they see two black guys breaking down the door of a house.

We have three observations about the Harvard professor incident:

1. We find it interesting that the fact that this was the professor's home was evidently not established early on way before the dispute escalated;

2. We find it fascinating that the versions of two members of society, who most would ordinarily view as responsible and honest citizens (this obviously does not include politicians), would vary so dramatically from a factual point of view.

3. Finally, considering that the reading and viewing public were not present at the scene (and thus have no first hand knowledge), and that there is no video tape to our knowledge of the sequence of events and what was said, how so many have formed conclusions, and made assumptions, about who did what and who was wrong.

There are some things which Professor Gates might have considered upon the arrival of the police, no matter how incensed he may have been.

Let's leave Limbaugh out of this and look at what the important facts are in this case. We have the President of the United States jumping to conclusions without knowing all the facts. His racial bias showed right through on this one. In one prejudiced statement he managed to ruin the authority of every police officer in America. Does everyone know that another police officer there at the time (an African American) sides with the officer that arrested Gates. What does that tell you??--Gates was trying to pick a fight. I think America needs to wake up and see that they chose the wrong man to lead our country.
