Less politically correct?? Poor Palin who LOVES to bait the media. (I thought she's leaving the limelight to protect her family, and not placing the equivalent of a GPS system on her every thought.) It's an appropriate medium because 140 characters is her vitrol limit. Anything after that - its rinse and repeat or running in circles. Will Piper Tweet too? My interpretation is as follows: she can't be the Republican mascot without her Gov of Russian border state (good one) polls plummeting. It's all in what she says (can't say what she'd want - curbed by the job) - not so much how much she was being investigated.

More than once in my travels in Illinois, people brought up, without prompting, the question of Mark Silva's extravagent Palin fixation. Several told me, independently of one another, that they had consulted the definition of "narcississtic personality disorder" in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Medical Disorders--"a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy"--and thought it fit him perfectly.

But as a true Sox fan, those who always pronounced Comiskey, Cominsky, also riled up us real Sox fans. Pronouncing it Cominsky proves once again that he is not a true Sox fan. Just another lie by the clown.

You're pathetic, the only places that you've been traveling around to and hearing about Mark Silva's Palin coverage is in that empty space between your ears that you call a head.

I have been A huge Sox fan all my life when I was about 8 or 9 years old I new it was pronounced Comisky after the one time owner of the White Sox Charles Comisky nick named the old roman. If you were A true Sox fan you would know it too. Further More he is probably going to go down as one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had. Oh and don't take it out on him if Bush didn't screw things up so bad he wouldn't end up looking so good.

Don't forget why Palin remains popular with what remains of the GOP base (paranoid self-pitying people loaded with rage and grievances and feeling betrayed and condescended to). Along comes Palin with her dog-whistle racism and appeals to the conceit of nasty stupid people. You watch, if Huckabee and Romney etc started to euphemistically praise mean pinch-faced church-going bigots and issue euphemized putdowns of minorities and gays etc, their Republican approval numbers would sky rocket too..

Think about it, the increasing number of Republicans who like Palin are also increasingly the only sort of people who identify themselves as Republicans in 2009 - about 20%.

Shackle your local Republican office holders to every word out of Palin's mouth. She'll push more moderate Republicans and Independents to the left than any substantiative policy discussion ever could.

Anyway, Obumbles will go down as one of this country's greatest presidents? Hmmm, I don't think setting a one-year record deficit of $1.8 trillion, setting a 10-year deficit of more than $10 trillion (CBO projections of Obumbles current spending plans), increasing taxes to where people pay more than half their income in taxes, and destroying the fabric that has made this country great will net him one of the best presidents labels. Now, one of the worst, more than likely he will go down as that.

Is this the only site some of you go to for news??? Mark Silva is not the only one reporting on this. As the line above states (good one Mark BTW), the AP reported on this...it is all over the internet. Leave your pods once in a while and read/see more than one source.

As far as Ste. Sarah is concerned, she is the one putting herself out there by posting on twitter. What ever attention she gets because of her postings either on Twitter or her Facebook page, she deserves. If she did not want the attention, she'd stop twittering her every thought. I can hardly believe she is not enjoying seeing her name in the papers, on teevee, and hearing discussion about her on the radio. I don't believe any of her woe-is-me the media is being so mean to me routine for one minute. If it weren't for them...she'd have faded into the background the day after the election.

John D, Look throughout history when the middle class is strong the whole country does well. When the middle class is in trouble the country is in trouble. The middle class is the true fabric or back bone of this nation.
we just had 8 years worth of a direct assault on the middle class from a-z. From every program to tax payer money spent to send as many jobs overseas as possible. This administration even lowered the cap on what a human life is worth and during the same month they reduced regulation on employees working with hazardous material. It is plain to see either you are for a corporate run government that puts its citizens second to corporations or a government of the people by the people for the people.

Where's the joke in calling Alaska a 'Russian Border State'? Russia is right across the Bering Strait, and, yup, you can see Russia from Alaska. Little Diomede to Big Diomede. Two islands in the Bering Strait. One is ours, the other is Russia's. Just a few miles apart, and easy to see one from the other on a day with good visibility. Go look it up in your atlas, if you have one, geographically challenged Mark Nitwit.
